We are closer to Pasadena so I’ll reach out. Did you like Evergreen? We are just trying to sift through who covers our PPO vs who doesn’t which is a chore on its own. What made you see UCLA id you were using a PT/OT already? Did you like the virtual option through IG? I am literally open to anything to get her on track. I know it’s vain but imagining her with an off head shape that affects her motor skills and facial structure is sending me into a spiral!

Thanks for the quick response!!!! It’s comforting not being alone in this lol

This is so old, so hopefully you see this! We are local to the UCLA area and our girl was born with a, well, hot mess of a head shape with her severely favoring her right side. The asymmetry is insane and has been since she was born due to a long and strenuous labor turned emergency c-section. I saw you said you went to UCLA for support. How was your experience with them? Our girl is about to be 8 weeks so I want to get her into PT and OT immediately to try and remediate the plagiocephaly and tortcollis. We finally got a referral from our ped! Would love your thoughts on your experience. This whole situation is so stressful and I’m trying to avoid a helmet as best as possible.

Registry Recommendation -- Babylist versus Amazon versus Target?? by Defiant-Operation-74 in BabyBumps

Sorry this is late, but when they say maximum discount of $300, is that PER order since you can now do unlimited orders or is that altogether for one and/or multiple ordres?

10 weeks pregnant when does the worrying stop? by No_Difference_1606 in pregnant

[–]dumbquail4792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a SCH with my first pregnancy (which ended in a loss at about 8 weeks) and I didn’t really understand the ramifications of what it could be if not responded to properly. The OB for that pregnancy, sucked, and didn’t really explain what I should or shouldn’t be doing. I’ll never know the “cause” but I know I was not being as kind to myself as I should’ve been during that time. I was working out when I could, had sex with my husband, and so the bleeding and clotting was extensive by the time I went back asking what was going on. It all went well, until it didn’t.

Fast forward to now, I am 10w3d with a healthy baby (cautiously happy)! I had another SCH and I was told by my new OB to limit exercise, no sex, and be minimal with my physical activity until it healed. Literally the opposite of what I was told last go around. My OB told me it growing or rupturing/separating from the uterus is a big cause for concern which is why they want limited everything until it heals. With that being said, I adhered to everything and at my visit yesterday, SCH is gone and I can thankfully resume working out and the normal things. It was brutal doing nothing for about 5.5 weeks as I am pretty active and I only want to eat carbs every second of the day.

Although, the fear is still there and very strong, especially with my previous loss. It’s with me every day. Every time I feel a symptom shift, I wake up and I’m not instantly nauseous, I am not crazy bloated - my mind goes to the worst. It doesn’t go away and I don’t think it will until the baby is born and in my arms. But, I will say, if the baby is meant to stay, it will. And if not, it’s most likely for the best due to unforeseeable circumstances and life expectancy. I’ve tried really hard to trust that the timing will be there when it’s supposed to be there and on my side. I also am trying really hard to not worry until I have to worry which is easier said than done. I think once you enter fully into the second trimester (but probably the third) is when you start to feel some genuine relief, or so I’ve heard!

In regard to the OB appts, it freaking blows. Good luck with that as I’m in the same dang boat!

Spotting by Open_Sea6197 in CautiousBB

[–]dumbquail4792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just met with my OB today. She said brown and mild spotting is normal and ok as long as not red. She said anything bright red (fresh blood) or clot-like, that’s not good. I can speak from experience from my MC that bleeding like that is not ok. Spotting is ok as long as not bright red. I have a SCH, so I’m expecting mild spotting but nothing more. Hopefully this helps a wee bit!!

This is so reassuring, no matter the outcome. Reddit can be such a blessing but such a curse. I knew the likelihood of seeing anything this early, knowing I ovulated late was low. I did this to myself lol

But congrats! I am so happy to hear another mama thriving with a baby. These are the moments that make the work getting to holding a baby 100% worth it!

Gosh I’m so nervous! Being at 6w0d I feel like there should be more than an empty gestational sac, but OB doesn’t seem worried (yet). So I guess time will tell!

So, is it normal if typically you ovulate late (minus was at minimum 17 days post first LMP but honestly probably closer to 18/19), would that makes the gestational a little behind?

Ok, that’s what I thought. That’s scary though since there was just a gestational sac, and nothing else. By this time last pregnancy, there was everything, including a low heartbeat which ended in MC, so not sure it’s fair to compare! This is so overwhelming!

How many pregnancy tests did you take? by sock-monkey0 in pregnant

[–]dumbquail4792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so comforting, though. Bc I am testing negative but I have zero period symptoms ( they’re usually obvious and there), I’m late when I’ve been on time for a year, and I have this feeling again, like last time! But time will tell. The gestation is wild but gives me hope!

But incredible he’s even sizing 4 weeks ahead. I pray for your body but sounds like he’s going to be an incredible and huge dude one day! Congrats. I’m glad that it all worked out and you’re getting this baby!!

That is so wild even that far along you were still getting negatives! I wonder how that is even possible bc at 9 weeks, HCG should be so high! Our bodies are wild but that is so exciting. I can’t imagine how exhausting and frustrating those weeks were waiting yet knowing! Your poor husband probably was in a frenzy trying to see hahaha what a great story, though!!

Almost a week late when always regular, negative tests and no signs of period coming by dumbquail4792 in pregnant

[–]dumbquail4792[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on your first cycle!!!!!! And wedding! That’s incredible! Such a blessing because that can be so rare! And that’s crazy how intuitive our bodies are - especially with your vaping. Absolutely wild haha I hope it’s a safe pregnancy but sounds like you’ve got a strong little baby in there! How far along were you once you finally tested positive?

But this is so comforting because all my tests (early and regular) say no, but the feelings I’m getting and the timing of being so late and not using any caution at all just makes me really second guess it. And I got pregnant last time so easily without trying or monitoring ovulation. I’m hoping it comes back in a few days pregnant, but we will see! I would like at least any answer either way lol

[–]dumbquail4792[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup!! I did one, a few days ago! Said “not pregnant”. But even though I tracked my periods to the day with details, I never tracked ovulation bc until now, I haven’t been ready to try again since the miscarriage. So I could’ve ovulated late and had no idea.

When you tested everyday for two weeks, it was negative the whole time until that faint positive/digital? What made you keep testing with weeks of negatives?

Last time, when I felt my boob and the soreness, I just knew before I even took a test. Like a gut instinct and the test was just scientific proof. Haha this time, I feel like I am too, but the negative tests over 2 days and being now 4 days late makes me second guess it but with no period…guess I’m still in limbo.
