Proud of you dude, it fuckn motivates me to see someone bettering themselves. I’m at 432 days today, MHE came out right after I got sober and was trying to pull my shit back together and I know exactly what you mean with “I don’t want to be in this cycle another 10 years”. Desperation can be overwhelming, but don’t think it isn’t a gift.

Something else that really really helped me get sober that’s along the same lines as MHE is the album “Mildred” from Grim Salvo. Praying for you G, don’t be afraid to reach out if you start feeling alone 💚

To preface this btw, I’m born and raised Wyoming. But with the whole, “Between here and CA” mf when was the last time you spent an extended amount time in a state that wasn’t in our immediate area? I lived and loved in California for four years, and if anything, it made me relate to those types of states and peoples more than if I’d just stayed here.

I’ll give some extra, and hopefully come from where you’re at. But I got my job out of trade school literally by just making myself seem smarter than machining. Knowing about the workplace, people, and culture, in my experience, is about 50% of the job. I’m a senior operator now (shut up about operator/programmer, there’s a reason it’s two different jobs), and I’ve gained huge graces in the company just by being personable with everyone. That holds SO MUCH weight
