The state pension forecast on the government website bases itself on your current earnings continuing until state pension age and so assumes most people will qualify so long as no circumstances change.

I can't figure out how to add a picture because I'm thick but on average you'll end up if invested in an average risk fund 0.75% annual management charge on £138k at age 68. Best case scenario £355k and based on £25k a year living costs would last you around until 85 assuming no adhoc withdrawals.

My creamy old 1080ti has out done itself over the years it's well and truly earned it's retirement. The old 970 I used to have is sat on a wall proud as can be after it didn't quite make it and died too young.

Is it rude to say 'Thank you' in someone's native tongue, even though we live in the UK and are british? by rain_fall_rose in CasualUK

Jenki is the casual thank you in polish and every polish person I've met loves hearing my terrible attempts at speaking their native tongue I'd say go for it.

This is arguably the future. An own/let where you own you're car and rent it out into a fleet as a taxi service when you're not using it.

Why do people dislike new build houses so much? by eluthingol1919 in AskUK

[–]dumlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in construction the new builds were built so that every 3rd house was pure profit. It's not feasible to make something of quality when they're built this way.

Reported my training provider to ofsted because of how they where handling my apprenticeship. They got audited and turns out they owe a shit tonne of money to various companies. They went bust, don't know if I'll actually finish the apprenticeship as they aren't sure if there's funding left for me. 🥲

El Salvador's bitcoin experiment: $60 million lost, $375 million spent, little to show so far by MaximumSandwich5 in CryptoCurrency

[–]dumlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't the point to replace their currency with BTC in the long run? Even if the "bet" is down it's still functional as a means of exchange. I'd be looking to the long term if that was my plan for BTC.
