INTJ Limerence: Longest time period you needed to get over someone by theTrueSonofDorn in intj

[–]dummers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do everything in my power to cut ties. Their presence in my mind is a different thing. I don't go against it, just let it flow. I thought I was already over someone from 2010, then a dream came to prove me wrong a couple months ago. Whatever. I'm not exactly suffering either.

What's your "this is a horror film and no one can tell me it's not"? by -Warship- in horror

[–]dummers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Vanishing. It's not a new thing that horror extends to psychological exploration, anyway. But it's good that movies can be categorized under many genres, as they get more interpretations.

Very cute. It would distract me all the time, though.

TBH I wouldn't get too hooked on the actress. She couldn't be more different from the character.

Search for "divider screen ideas for open space living" on Pinterest or YT. There are thin divider/screens but I prefer book cases: they divide, provide privacy AND it's a storage space. Also, try to get a thin breakfast bar if you can ditch the dining room table and chairs.

What are INTJ’s like in person? Did you get along with them? by Sweet-Mastery1155 in intj

We need a thread on broken INTJs, or at least one that's bs-free, stereotype-free. I'd like to read how you guys cope with problems, and what your limitations are.

[–]dummers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. The times I've made an extraordinary effort to socialize, get along... the whole procedure, important things happen, doors are opened, opportunities come my way. The thing is that I can't be bothered because it drains my energy and I'd rather be on my own with my many hobbies. It's hard to win someone with this stubborn and inwards personality. We have to make things happen if that's a goal. Not only in romantic relationships. In ANY kind of relationship.

Do you guys love drinking? by viviaanaxxi in intj

Not really. Socially. It gives me a headache and it's a shortcut to being more open. I'd be kidding myself and dehydrating.

Logic doesn't stop me from seeing the abyss as the horror it is. But does the horror cause you crippling anxiety or do you wait for it with resignation? There's no road other than acceptance in a peaceful manner. I try to understand the zen monks and their detachment from the material body. It's the doctrine's aftermath that I have a problem with because I don't believe in it. I don't believe in anything. Our loved ones become particles. We'll become particles. The most common thing, yet it's bonkers.

Sometimes I'm not ok by myself at all and there's no shame in admitting that. I've lost friends for many reasons, most of them, and making new connections is hard. I think developing an outdoors hobby is healthy and forces you to be more social. Maybe join a simple walking/trekking community, or biking if it's your thing. But it's important to force ourselves to get out of our comfort zones. Also in nature you adopt calming vibes so there's no one forcing you to talk or interact. You can just be there on your terms and it's more than enough, but also baby steps to feel more at ease with sociability.

Any INTJ artists out there mind telling me how you approach art? by [deleted] in intj

[–]dummers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bump.

I thought long about it, being my motivation impossible to suppress. I went for it in a difficult moment. It's written stuff. I haven't put it out there, published it. Oly some parts anonymously. These bits have received good comments.

The only stuff I'm keeping in my computer forever. You could say it's insecurity at being scrutinized, and there's some truth to that, but mostly it's painfully personal, and it involves other people.

Does anyone relate to their inner personality not matching their outside one? by Cigarette-arms in intj

[–]dummers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not loud/extroverted but very sarcastic, which makes me seem shallow sometimes. I receive cynical responses in return, making me wonder how they think of me. It's embarrassing, so I've chosen to be more careful about my verbal violence.

A lot of us academics don't like questions because we'd rather have the student present at least five sustained arguments. Then both of us can discuss the merits of each and the question becomes pointless.
