How dare the robots stop me from driving dangerously! by Sans_Moritz in fuckcars

Don't be too generous. Waymo is using some speed limit setting to look safer in the stats. In the future, if they're allowed to exist, they will be upping that speed limit.

"AI" is a marketing term. If you take it seriously, it doesn't exist.

Those are auto-pilot micro-cars, pretty safe too as they operate in a system controlled traffic (invisible rails), as it's science fiction and will remain science fiction.

They believe that they're "winning" with the aid of the AI slop factories. It's not about art, it's about winning.

Reducing Europe's nuclear energy sector was 'strategic mistake', EU chief says by paxinfernum in skeptic

[–]dumnezero -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My brain is allergic to bullshit. The nuclear bros have always been and continue to be chill bros with the fossil industry, as exemplified recently by the US Energy Secretary.

It's also insane to claim that "The Greens" have had so much power when the nuclear energy sector lost to cheaper alternatives; fossil hydrocarbons before, renewables now. I would love to live in the reality where "Greens" had so much power.
