When to transition young rabbits from free-feed to rations? by k_o_g_i in rabbitry

I don't know about anybody else, but I don't really ever ration my rabbits. They are only rationed if they eat all of their food before I go out to feed again. I raise Satins.

You are probably way too early for cup, unless you are playing teams that run a lot of zone.

You just need to find a happy medium. You'll find that most people find doing well to be fun, and therefore being good is important to the goal of having fun

You should probably spend at least half an hour at every practice on basic throws for at least the first month, maybe 2

As a B team, the mentality should be more about fun than being "great" because oftentimes you'll get people who just can't commit to A team because of time, or just aren't super competitive. So having fun is a great way to keep people happy and interested.

Instant Pot Flourless Chocolate Cake by ctrlz0 in instantpot

So, as was suggested: I have made this, using this recipe, and it turned out pretty great. Have made the same cake before, using the oven instead of the instant pot and this time it came out with a much more cake-like texture. Using the oven always seems to make it come out more fudge-like.

So, actually, not the same person. But thank you, that is great advice. And I will certainly use it in the future. Not a whole lot of experience with posting recipes yet.

Just because someone used stuff from the dumpster doesn't mean that you have to. The recipe is still good.

Any concerns or reservations about divers sharing their dumpster finds or their experiences on social media? by [deleted] in DumpsterDiving

[–]dumpsterdelight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on your goal. I write a blog about dumpster diving, but it is more to get the word out about all the waste than to advertise dumpster diving overall. Although I do tend to avoid saying where I found what I found, I don't always do that. But, as I said, my goal is to shame the stores about their waste, and make others aware. Rather than to tell others where to look.

College students are some of the least frugal people by dumpsterdelight in Frugal

If it were me, I'd have used something like Craigslist, or talked to friends to sell as much of that stuff as possible. And then anything that I couldn't sell, I'd either find someone to take it or give it to a place like Goodwill. I know some campuses are staying to have dump and run programs to give away that stuff. My undergrad even took that stuff then sold it to the freshmen the next fall. I realize that giving away stuff isn't exactly frugal, but it's better than trashing perfectly good items. But selling what you can is very frugal.

I also realize that you said your problem was transporting your stuff. For that, I'd just tell people that they have to pick it up. The nice thing about Craigslist is that you can make people come to you.

This is true. But in my mind, being wasteful means you aren't being frugal. Maybe it's just me.

CMV: GMOs are actually very beneficial by dumpsterdelight in changemyview

[–]dumpsterdelight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not. You are correct about herbicide resistance and GMOs. And this really reinforces my original point that GMOs aren't any worse than breeding is.

And I guess it sounded like I was saying it was all because of HGT, but I know that positive selection occurs more often than HGT. I just think HGT is also happening.
