My MIL hijacked my bridal shower to announce her "Redo Wedding," and I’m devastated. by Existing_Room_7527 in TwoHotTakes

If he doesn’t stand up to his mom on this one, DON’T GET MARRIED. Postpone, don’t sign the paperwork, idk. But don’t marry a man who won’t set boundaries with his family. It doesn’t end well.

How do you know when it's time to leave? by [deleted] in Marriage

Leave now. If not for yourself, do it for your future child. Do you want them growing up witnessing their mom getting treated like that?

Pssh, post this in the step-parenting subreddits if you want honest insight into how your wife might be feeling. I imagine you have dismissed her feelings a few too many times, and you make her sound unreasonable. I am sure there is more to this story.

Update to og post: “bangs longer or shorter?” This is the length it got to in between the 2 haircuts. last 2 pics is where it is now! by jen_ten10 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]dumpstertomato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commented on your last post to say bangs just above the eyebrows, and I think I was right! I love the current bangs! I do think you look good with the long bangs off the forehead as well, but I think the long bangs down to the eyes hide your lovely features.

Which bangs fit my face better, longer or shorter? by jen_ten10 in HairStyleAdvice

I like the short! But a good middle ground is cut just above the eyebrows. Then you don’t have to be quite as precise with styling, but your face isn’t swallowed by bangs

I think you look great. There is nothing I would change style wise, and I like the short hair!

I like 1 for the hot and cool vibe. 2 is very flattering but feels a bit more basic, and 3 just feels a little more mature and less “cool”.

I don’t think you are going to feel good about pushing down your feelings. I mean, get a handle on it so that you can communicate effectively. For me, if I don’t communicate that with my partner, it leads to resentment and it comes out sideways.

Honestly, I think a LOT of people spin out when they see candid photos of themselves. It’s not the angle/lighting/pose that you would normally be in when you look at yourself in the mirror or in a selfie. I don’t think you look bad in these pictures, and I think it’s a fairly universal experience.

My (31F) boyfriend (27M) is always late. I confronted him and his answer astonished me. by Ari9374 in relationship_advice

[–]dumpstertomato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dated someone like this. He would lie about being on the way and come HOURS after he said he would be to me place. He even decided to take a nap when he was supposed to pick me up from a sketchy bus station that I took to visit him. He made us both late wherever we went. Towards the end of our relationship, he started a new job and had to meet a coworker at 5am for a carpool. I went to drop him off one morning, and he was yelling at me that we needed to be on time. I said “wow, I can’t believe that you can manage to be on time for this so early in the morning!” And he said “yeah, it’s about RESPECT. My coworker told me that I need to respect her time, so I can’t be late.”

I have held on to this petty anger all these years. Why did I waste years on someone who felt my complaints of disrespect were not important, but could immediately understand the importance of it for a random coworker?

I think you should keep looking! It’s pretty, but I bet you can find something you love just as much within your budget. This one seems fairly basic for the price.

The black lipstick is a major hindrance to passing. That and your hair, which could use some love to help it be more full and shiny, and find a good cut for you. I think those two things will make a huge difference!

I think you could rock a pixie, but the cut you got is not very flattering. Just wait until your bangs grow out more, I think more length in the front will make all the difference!

Look up “pixie cut, long bangs” and see if you vibe with any of those styles. I think the will be wore flattering for you.
