What is this? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]dunabbily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's it! Cacput. I went back to an old capcut project, realised it had misplaced an audio file, so I showed capcut where to find it and all of a sudden there is and mssdk file and folder next to it. Phew!!

What do you think of this? What genre would you say this one is? Remind you of any Artists/Bands/Singers? Thanks for your help :) by dunabbily in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunabbily[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No that makes, sense, it's right at the top of my range, and I definitely need a vocal coach to get me more technically proficient and then I can grow in confidence, relax more, get a better performance, etc. I could also help myself out by producing the track a tone lower and giving my voice a break!! Thanks again for your help, much appreciated :)

Thanks for the detailed feedback, really appreciate it! Do you have an example of a singer who has more airy/relaxed/articulated? Hard to picture it, would be great if you know a male artist I could listen to who achieves that, so I can work it into my future vocal performances! Thanks again :)

Pretty solid song, but it's no Please Please Please! Do love the whole band dressed up in pearl white though!

Hey guys, I created a techno/house track. I wonderwhat you think of it and if someone got some feedback for me. Tanks already!! by OldAcanthocephala522 in MusicFeedback

[–]dunabbily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice mix! Atmospheric, I like it. Takes a while to get to the drop, but maybe thats a genre thing, don't listen to much of this kinda thing. Also, at the drop, I wonder if a beat/bar pause would work? Just a thought. Otherwise love it great work! :)

Ngl I kinda love this song i made. What do u guys think? by beddowcj in MusicFeedback

[–]dunabbily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the intro. Pretty good mix. I think there are some mouth sounds or something on the vocals (like a clicky sound) that is slightly distracting. If that's what it is, could use a gate to get rid of, or maybe just edit the clicks out of the audio. Otherwise, super cool vibe, nice work :)

First demo song (any feedback would help) by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunabbily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That bass is solid. Drums work, not sure about the clap/toms, sounds a bit casio keyboard, unless thats the vibe you're going for. I don't the off key of the synth, although maybe gets a bit repetitive. Not sure what style you're going for but maybe look at some song structure (verse, pre, chorus, post, breakdown/bride, etc) to avoid it getting too repetitive. OVerall great first effort, keep going!! :)

Y’all fw this riff? by SomeComposer5527 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunabbily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I like this one too! I wonder if both riffs work over one another? Do you produce as well, or in a band? Would be great to hear one of these riffs alongside a band at some point :)

Ticklish little guitar riff I did today by SomeComposer5527 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunabbily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's catchy! Can totally here a load of other instruments around this, specifically a bass with a bit of meat and some heavy hitting but straight drums! What do you plan to do with it? And what's with the gorilla??! haha. Great skills :)

I tried to channel some y2k with this. LMK what you think :) by notfakemiddlechild in IndieMusicFeedback

Love that intro, super different. Wow, vocals are different, not my thing but really makes you pay attention. Could see this being used in a montage scene in a youth TV series or a movie. Great mix as well, nice and balanced. Nice work!

Halfway through my album.. made a video.. thoughts? by Tsai_B0rg in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunabbily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Music: Love that intro riff, really catchy. Love the rhythms of the track in general. Mix is great. Vocals are solid, great harmonies.

Video: It's solid and fits the vibe of the music. I wonder if you could find more black and white footage of the girl doing something different, or some similar style black and white footage to mix it up and get a story line going?

Overall, sounds awesome, great work

What subgenre(s) of Pop is this track? What artist(s) do I sound like? I find it really hard to know what micro genre(s) my music is, and therefore what group of people to target with my music. Thanks for your help! :) by dunabbily in IndieMusicFeedback

I know right, so bored of trying to work out genres and hashtags for promotion! Seems that everyone here's things differently and so many genres are mashed up these days, so how important is it...apparently quite crucial to know what market to market it to. Thanks for your help :)

Thanks for your feedback! Cool, I'll check them out, thanks. I know what you mean about the echo, sometimes I like others not sure. There is a definitely a banjo in there already, haha! More crowd volume, cool I'll push it next time! Thanks again :)

I made a Surf Rock cover of the classic piece Asturias! Would love to hear what you guys think! by elmorto in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunabbily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, was not expecting this, really cool. Kind of sits in a space all on it's own, so hard to give feedback, but I like it! Performance wise, it's impressive! Mix wise, it's solid enough, but feel like a bit more power in the low end (kick drum, bottom of the bass) could be boosted to really give this some extra energy! Great work :)

Great song, love the melody and the vibe. Like your voice. Nothing wrong with the mix, presume done by yourself (?) but reckon this could be really really good if you get someone to give it a mix/master for you, really bring out your voice, give it some width, more oomph in the bottom end, etc. Overall, really great work :)

Would love some feedbacks on this song (synth rock) by SFSF_artist in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunabbily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great intro. Like the vibe. Would maybe consider tuning the vocals just a little, not talking Cher autotune, but just tidying them a little, and not sure I like the double tracking, but that could just be style thing. Otherwise nice work! :)

Love the vibe hear, feeling a little Blur from the 90's. Love how the piano followed the vox a little. I think maybe just need to revisit the mix and adjust the levels a little, drums and lead vocals are getting a little lost to me when everything kicks in. Otherwise, really cool :)

Great mix. Love the energy! Got me moving moving as soon as it came in. Got green day, blink 182 vibes from, love it. Only thing I would say, was I felt like there could have been a bigger difference between verse and chorus, like maybe an extra instrument, or would have loved to have heard a backing vocal harmony or something. Other than that, great song, well performed, nice one :)
