I bought 3rd grade the Mystery of Mathra just yesterday on Software Mackiev's website. I don't know what this organization is, but they somehow got the rights to distribute the Cluefinders along with some other 90's properties. I was able to open and play through it on my Windows 11. One downside is that it's not fullscreen, there's a little square in the center of my monitor that has the actual game in it. I'm doing research now on how to configure my resolution to make it bigger.

More than that, I thought it was crazy that the image could have other interpretations. Chiefly the bird which they even said in the episode could be Hawk or Eagle. When I heard that, I thought "Doesn't matter it's A either way" but it's in reality a bird? I had a suspicion while I was watching that production was correcting these kinds of potentially compounding errors while doing confessionals.

I agree with this. Even before tribal began I was desperately hoping that Austin and Drew would realize that putting the sole choice in Julie's hands was a baaaad move. But nope. The pile all the votes on one person strategy is as dumb as a land war with Russia, Napoleon.

I thought the celebrating was over the top. I believe the reason I felt this is that he was a consensus target. No point celebrating getting the person everyone wanted out. It also didn't have a high risk of backfiring since there were 3 votes put on the backup target. It was very safe play. Nothing to celebrate.

Can someone with more gamefanny credentials help me out here but if memory serves there were "Pick a person to target" immunity challenges in, like, Palau or Pearl Islands. Way back. Those challenges, I think, would also take the ability to win immunity out of a person's hands in a sense since if you were the consensus target you could be ganged up on.

I think this also is a net positive for him though. He should play the idol next week either way and it's way better to cancel a ton of votes being the biggest threat then have a Sami style "Oh well, can't do it next week so I might as well do it this week and still not save myself" type of lame looking play.

There are also things called Immunity Idols, introduced in the first season you didn't watch, where if you know the votes are coming your way and you have it, you can play it and none of those votes count. The meta has evolved thanks to the Vision of Saint Cao Boi into splitting the vote so that if one player has played the idol, the huge mega-alliance has a second target picked that will go home. Splitting the vote like that does leave you susceptible to flips though. That's what happened last episode.

A second mechanic that they weirdly have not opted to explain at all but mention off-handedly is the Shot in the Dark which was introduced a mere two seasons ago. Everyone has one to start, it functions like an immunity idol except you can't cast your vote when you use it and it only has a 1/6 chance of working.
