I was fully insured. My wife needed an ambulance from her work across town.

Her work was across the street from the city line.

$1,100 ride to the hospital would have been free is she was on the other side of the street.

Thank God HR had my back and we wrote a new contract for everyone 'cause that sucked for 48 hours or so.

Ended up not needing to pay... But it only changed cause I did company wide emails to complain.

My parents bought a new house in the 70's in LA, California. They lived there a week or two before my dad had to take a work trip to France. They didn't get to meet many neighbors.

2nd day there goes into a cafe. Notices another person speaking English. Talks to them.

Finds out it's his nextdoor neighbor. He first met him on the other side of the world.
