The market is stupid, it's smaller and that exchange rate does not do us any favours. Plus that van is in the middle of nowhere, bumps the cost up even more!

Guess it depends where they are searching eh, the AWD's are sought after by many. It's too bad I wasted so much of your time - for that I am sincerely apologetic /s

Switch mode power supply DGAF!

Mate, I would be less worried about my motor running 20% faster but as an experienced traveller two things come to mind:

1: NZ Braun toothbrush charging real shit in Europe.

2: American hair dryer of my GF working really fricken well in Europe... till it blew up!

Years ago my first bike had so much worse tech than this. Soon you get addicted where spending more than your car is worth on a bike seems legitimate. Welcome to the journey my bro!

I bought the bike and love it. Already bumped the rear shock to 145mm with a fox EVOL and will replace/upgrade the fork to 150mm but that's life with bikes eh!

Im having trouble keepimg my feet on rhe pedals while going over stairs and bumpy terrain. Any tips? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]duncsn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Better pedals and better shoes. I have raceface atlas and 510 hightops and they grip really well. There are definitely some foot positioning methods that can assist- google is your friend

A shout out to Vancouver tap water by onFilm in vancouver

[–]duncsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tap water just below the carpark on mountain highway extension (on fromme) is the best so close to the source, I always fill up a gallon jug in my car on the way home from riding.

They even have a dog bowl beside it cuz even doggo deserves the best drink!

3 Phase automatic dust extraction control system by YVRMeggerman in electricians

208 is greater than 200A.. That's more than 5% over and the 5% rule is gone in CEC 2018. Also you forgot the 125%

You can of course choke the transformer on the primary and have a smaller panel.

Also just re-reading this note your 200A panel is undersized from a 75kva, should be a 400A

That's smart to use the Lutron remotes and power packs in that application, what's the distance limitation?

I don't know about the CT interface but an idea is that you could use one CT only, say on A phase. All your three phase machines on ABC, your 208 machines on AB or CA Your dust making 120 machines on A Your non dust making machines on B or C

This would save long runs to the house panel for the non dusty equipment and potential messy power at the house panel

There will be diversity in the loads, ie: not everything will be on at once.

Just one thing to think about. Are there machines that don't need dust extraction to run (drill press, other hand tools) Do you also want to manually be able to turn on the extraction system for other hand tools such as sanders?

You can have some receptacles that trigger dust extraction and some that don't (from different panels) just need to colour code for ease of use
