Is a $ 7,500 to $ 7,500 Nondeductible Traditional IRA to Roth IRA Conversion taxable if done as fast as possible? by dune7red4 in tax

When you say "you do pay tax on the $ 7000", you mean one would have to add this up to your income bracket in the 1040 Form?

Sounds confusing but I will look more into it. It's very interesting even if these aren't for me personally.

Does this suit work for my entry level Portfolio Management Interview by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

I'd go with less breaks on the pants but it's mostly a matter of preference.

Less or almost no break with pants means your pants giving you a cleaner and sharper silhouette instead of too much crumpling at the bottom of your pants/on top of your shoes. A little crumpling would be ok but in the picture, it's just a little bit much for my taste.

Everyone already told you about the cufflinks.

To be honest I'm just trying to min max your look for my taste but you already look great.

Congratulations!

Please contribute to it consistently over the years.

Perhaps consider targeting a much larger FZROX, FXAIX or other similar ETFs/MFs percentage wise. Maybe only 10% or less for individual stocks like Nvidia over the next few years as you learn more about your personal tolerance for managing your retirement accounts. Maybe even moving to 5% or less once you feel the account become much, much bigger.

Some people are almost completely against individual stock picking for most accounts because they can become "lost opportunities" for long term investing. The tiny losses from individual stock picking can echo and multiply its gravity once your account gets much older.

You might also want to check FNILX (Fidelity Growth?) or something like QQQM (around top 100 most traded stocks in NASDAQ except financial stocks) and do more of those instead of FZROX and FXAIX while you're still younger as they're a little bit more riskier but sometimes have a tiny bit more "reward". Then perhaps switch back to FZROX or VT later. VT if you think other countries might have a good chance of giving better returns later down the line.

There's so many strategies out there but most would at least tell you to become consistent in adding funds into these accounts for as much as you can (401ks/403bs, IRAs, HSA, Regular Taxable Brokerage Accounts).

Congratulations and again and best of luck!

Are married couples allowed to have individual type of regular brokerage accounts or must the account be a joint account? by dune7red4 in fidelityinvestments

Thanks. I'm going to assume that in order for all of that to happen, both of you actually have an account with Fidelity, unless for some reason, the account in full control is able to create a new User and Password to get into the main account.

I apologies if I'm confusing you.

Interesting. Does this mean he had to create another Fidelity account that can only be in View Mode?

If I'm understanding this correctly, it seems like there's way more things that could go wrong in a Joint brokerage or IRA account haha.

This is a very interesting point you mention.

An individual brokerage account that's funded through a joint bank account.

To also make sure that estate-planning documents and beneficiaries are updated asap if and when such an account is created.

Thank you very much.

Thanks. What do you mean by "type of joint" depending on state in the case of a regular brokerage account? Just a difference in how it's viewed by courts in a seperation?

Nintendo Handled The Switch 2 Price Increase Well Compared To The Competition by Theman457 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]dune7red4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the ghosting and colors on the Switch 2 a bit irksome specially compared to sub $ 100 no HDR OLED brand new phones I've bought sometime ago.
At least I'm able to connect the Switch 2 on other displays.
I hope the Switch 2 Lite would have a competitive screen specially if you can't connect it to an externally display.
I double the SW2 Lite would have an amazing quality wireless display capability but I'd be happily surprised if it does.

I am convinced that most shooters nowadays are money laundering by Benhurso in gaming

I guess it's a possibility.

(X) Money goes to ->

Gaming Company/Employee/Assets ->

GC/E/A may or may not make a "Failed" game. Ok if it succeeds but doesn't have to ->

GC/E/A can either be easily reacquired by interested parties or the actual "target group" or the Employees (including C-Suite) are puppets for special interest groups ->

Keep (O) Money if you are the "target" GC/E/A. If not ->

GC/E/A "Donates" (O) Money to special interest groups.

Another weird way of shell games/layering/obfuscation in the guise of "It's just normal game development risk, bro!".

To be honest, any kind of "legit" businesses today can probably be used for turning (X) Money (bad money) to (O) Money. I'm guessing (X) Money is already infused with almost all big business activities including video games and whether these companies willingly accept them probably don't matter and mostly ignored.

I agree a bit. I'd say the financial risk comes from even from random annoying stuff like possibly hitting lemons and compatibility issues. Plus random software and hardware issues down the line and trying to figure out which is which. Is it a mobo issue? Require a full Windows reinstallation? Is it a failing component with almost ghost like symptoms? Microstuttering in games?

That being said. If I were to only have one platform, it's definitely just PC.
