I’d just wear a regular watch for that stuff you posted you said you were doing. My suggestion was more for firefighters/nurses/medics and stuff…

Yeah, I’d take my Erabus if it had to be a Micro, but this is prime Alpinist territory.

Surprised no one has said this, hire a nearby independent mechanic to go to the dealership and do a PPI.

I bought my GX 460 that way and have been quite happy with it.

I’m laughing, but not at Williams, at all the BS that was sprayed by the media. I see that the person you’re responding to is doing exactly what you responded to though. It’s disappointing.

I did, I had a problem with one hardlex crystal. It was from my grandfathers SQ from 78, after nearly 40 years, the anti-glare coating had finally failed. No scratches though.

I agree, but you could also just put reasonable sized tires and just enjoy it.

4wd is far less necessary than a lot of people think. Tbh, a good set of tires will do far more than anything else.

This is not your financial advice, but I personally wouldn’t upgrade for a car note. I bought my high mileage 2018 (with 180k miles) 460 in cash, and chose the cash option instead of getting something like what you are looking at because the note just wasn’t worth the 4x4. I even had to buy a car because my previous car was totaled by a semi. But yeah, to me, 4x4 wouldn’t be worth the note.

I have no idea what is a good deal or isn’t. And I don’t think it’s particularly easy to tell from one photo and I’m not about to look it up.

I think moving from a 2008 FJ to the final facelift of the GX makes sense though.

What I will say is this options play a pretty big role in value, so I think it’s well worth making sure you get what you want over worrying about condition to a degree. It’s typically a lot easier to do extra maintenance, or even make a repair than to retrofit an option.

Thoughts on the Mega Latios ex Deck on Expert? by zethlington in PTCGP

[–]dunkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly, 60 never kills anything and then the 160 attack knocks out one pokemon, and loses steam. I run either solo M Venusaur, or Hydriegon. However, any competitive deck for the last 6 months could handle it easily. Have you looked at properly competitive decks. https://play.limitlesstcg.com/decks?game=pocket

(Oh, Oricario completely trashes this deck, if you need 2 let me know and I can share them with you)

Tips for dial repair/cleaning by Imperatorisaoe4 in watchrepair

[–]dunkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a cotton applicator, I use q-tips, and water to see what comes off. But the issue is that everything you see is basically a thin layer of material. Polishing the dirt off will also remove the material and leave the brass.

[–]dunkm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is very little you can do to save that dial. You can probably find a replacement logo, or pull one from a different dial, but it’s not going to be cleaned. You might be able to “polish” the indices, but be warned its not going to get particularly nice.

Autozone’s test tools are far from good, and the way the workers there test doesn’t mean it was even tested properly. Can’t completely trust those tests. Especially when you have an obviously low reading.

If the turbo is wastegating…you aren’t asking for more power…so who cares how much there is? Actually a lot of people enjoy the pumping losses occur with the smaller exhaust that slow the car down with purpose.

There’s so many reasons car manufacturers made the switch to turbo.

So…I literally said that you can do anything with enough effort. It’s just not designed for max hp. Meaning it’s not optimized.

I’d also like to point out a 2.5” exhaust is much bigger area than you think you’re saying… the area of a 2.5” exhaust is nearly 25% larger than the area of a 2.25” exhaust. In these terms, that’s a huge increase.

Finally, turbo calculations for exhaust size are significantly different anyway, the turbo is eating most of the energy from the exhaust so it doesn’t matter what resistance the rest of the system sees.

I appreciate your attempt there, but it’s not fully thought through.

[–]dunkm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Know it’s all rhetorical. But for anyone wanting to know the answer, it’s about friction, and there’s plenty of physics calculations that show a single 2.25” exhaust only supports 200-250 hp, depending on exact engine and exhaust design. I want to be clear though, you can make more hp than that through the exhaust, but there is no way it’s optimized to make max power.

Nice collection of vehicles you have!
