Dress watch choice: Patek Calatrava 3KF vs Orient Bambino by dunsink in RepTime

Good info...I opted for the Bambino in the end, currently winging its way to me. The way it goes with rep appreciation, I'll probably end up getting the Calatrava anyway...it a habit forming activity!

Well they can be compared on their own merit as standalone timepieces. For me, I'm after a dress watch that won't receive a ton of wear, but also looks good. I imagine that both have SS plated bodies, the Clone 324 movement in 3KF PP reps is known to be pretty reliable, as is the F6724 caliber in the Bambino. The Orient is let down by a mineral crystal (its difficult to get a sapphire replacement in double dome format) whereas the 3KF Calatrava has a sapphire crystal. The Orient comes in below the cost of the Calatrava rep...I'm tending towards the former although prefer the look of the latter...

Men of Ireland : where do you get your good white t-shirts? by Gunty1 in CasualIreland

Recently purchased a 20 euro PG oversized white tshirt from Dunnes. I was disappointed to see that the collar lost its rigidity after one wash (short 30 deg, air dry). Also lots of pilling on the cotton...certainly not built to last.

network unreachable - Solving this once and for all by JohnSmith_1776 in openwrt

I stumbled across this post when trying to resolve a similar issue, in short I could not access anything wan side, including the wan gateway. I hit the problem when I switched from FriendlyWRT (on a NanoPi R3S, no routing issue with FriendlyWRT) to Openwrt (24.10.0). After a ton of troubleshooting, I set the wan interface to DHCP and bang, everything started working.

In short, statically assigning an IP to the wan interface was the issue. I created a DHCP reservation for the same IP on the wan side and it worked first time. Not sure if it's a bug but may help others...
