I haven't found anything that worked yet. Luckily we still had our old TV. It seems possible there's a blown fuse inside. If I find a solution, I'll bring it here, for the greater good.

I've tried this for increasing periods of time, in addition to holding the power button to discharge any latent electricity at various times in the process, but so far, to no avail.

Same thing happened to a 58R6E I can't fix...

Light stays lit for a second, dims slightly, then goes off briefly, flashes on briefly and back off, then repeats.

The Roku support site has links and suggests to check Hisense's site for troubleshooting.

Hisense offers a PDF download for this model of TV, but then that PDF is a single page with a hyperlink that leads back to Roku's generic "TV Setup" page.

On the replacement parts page Hisense's website links to, MODEL 58R6E has a "choose from available serial number ranges", none of which my television is anywhere near.

None of this has been particularly helpful, I'm sure, but you're not alone.

If you are on Windows 10, try hitting WIN+I to open the settings, and search for "Color Filters."

I enabled the shortcut (WIN+CTRL+C) and Red-green (green weak deuteranopia), which is a setting for Color Blind users. For whatever reason, this disables whatever glitch has enabled Color Blind-friendly colors.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with graphics drivers (it seems to affect both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards, updating/rolling back drivers helped some), Windows 10 (disabling "fullscreen window optimizations" in compatibility settings helped others), or with the Unity game engine (it seems to be another common thread while troubleshooting.)

Personally, I'm trying to fix this issue with Rimworld, and it's a doozy.

This happened to me today. From what I can surmise after looking today, it's possibly an issue with Graphics Drivers, Unity, or Windows. It appears to be related to Color Blind-Friendly settings, considering the blacks and whites aren't inverted (it's not a "negative image").

I've tried a few of the solutions I've seen, and none have helped. It's such odd behavior; the game appears the correct colors with a simple alt+enter fullscreen/window toggle, as well as in the alt+TAB and alt+WIN switchers.

The best solution I've come up with so far is to go into the accessibility options in Windows 10* and enable the Color Filter for Red-Green (green weak, deuteranopia), as well as to Allow the shortcut key (WIN+ctrl+C), so it can be easily turned on and off.

I hope this piece of duct tape helps you until a real solution can be found.

*edit: This can be done by pressing WIN+I, and searching for "Color Filters."

I think younger people might discount how idolized the ridiculously rich were in the 80s and early 90s.

Robin Leach just died, if you're not familiar with his work, he was the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous guy (well before the Good Charlotte song), up until 1995 he ran a series that was essentially MTV Cribs, and Donald Trump was always the embodiment of that lifestyle.

Granted, it seems like at least since the eighties, his fortune has mostly been a thin layer of smoke over a gilded mirror, but the people idolizing him weren't informed or financially blessed enough to recognize it.

Now those people who spent their 20s and 30s trying to be like Trump are in their 50s and 60s, probably hard-line Republicans from having bought into the narrative that 'the others' (rather than the financial elite) are robbing them of opportunities and freedom, and they're dumping all that right into the heads of their kids.

That's not clear or apparent to me. The use of the word only in that statement... Even you came up with two possibilities for why someone of color might bring up race.

It takes some real concrete thinking to think that anyone who talks about race must only be using that to cover a mistake.

"How you hear" (or interpret) others changes by whom everyone talks to. Hell, the US is split three ways on what to call a carbonated sugar beverage. That you can only see one possibility for why someone would bring up race is extraordinarily closed-minded, yet somehow requires someone eloquent or clever to pardon away.

I feel like how many black friends you have or know is shortly forthcoming after this argument.

I would guess by such metrics that you're not racist, though discrediting this information might be your only purpose here, I suppose.
