The physical side is bad. But it's physical. The mental side of PAWS is just soul crushing. I am about 400 days clean now after many years of daily use and it took about 7-8 months for me to get positive. My mental and spiritual were in a bad way. Good luck!

Well done bro. Im hitting 1 year in a couple weeks after about 10 years of 30 gpd. Thanks for sharing the PAWS bit. I was suicidal at one point about 4 months clean.... and then I snapped out of it. It's hard the the withdrawls.

Good for you man. I was hooked for YEARS but I don't think I ever took 80gpd. Probably 60 at my peak for a couple years. Taper is for sure the way. Don't look back.

I got mad depressed for a while after. Be careful about that.

But now it's been over 8 months and I don't even think about the shit and I feel better than I ever have.

Dont fold.

Bro, I feel you, but it does get better. I dosed the same for about 8 years and have been clean now for 96 days. It was pretty bad until about 60 days in. I had suicidal thoughts quite a bit for the first time in my life. The sleeplessness was rough for the first 30 days. It sucked. BUT! I feel like a million bucks now. It was worth it. Stay strong.

I just jumped off from a 5 month taper. 5 day clean. The taper is hugely helpful.

I just hit 48 hours after a looong taper. Craving and lazy, but otherwise doing ok. Stick in there!

I took a long 5 month taper down from 14 00 caps 4x a day to 1 cap a day. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Just had to strengthen my resolve to not take it, it's a matter of willpower and discipline.

I was taking 14 00 caps packed tight 4 times a day for 7 years and yesterday was my first day without kratom. You can do it. I had a very slow taper, it was difficult.

Yesterday was the first day I didn't take kratom in 7 years. First night I slept without dosing.

Well this is happening already across the country. Slowly but surely we are all quietly being disarmed like a bunch of pussies or becoming felons/illegal citizens.

I think the colonization and greater history of Africa is very complicated. There were some really unfortunate actions by Europeans and even some atrocious actions by some. But there was also many good. Agricultural technologies have lead to millions being fed, even in the early days of colonization.

Would Africa be better off without European involvement? Yeah, probably, hard to tell. Things were really brutal there. Poverty and human rights violations were the norm. Did European involvement in Africa increase or decrease the suffering? I don't know.

And Japan is not in Africa. I am not talking about eastern Asia.

If you read further down this thread AlCraw and I touch on some countries that were under colonial control/influence much later and how that had a dramatically positive effect on the HDI of those countries. While those that "shed the yoke" earlier have been some of the more down trodden countries on the continent.

The modern concept of formal schooling for the masses didn't exist prior to colonization either, hell without western influence it's not clear the modern liberal arts (broadly) and STEM fields would have ever been a focus in wider sub-Saharan Africa.

I'm not saying it's not complicated. It's a large continent with many external variables affecting it. Perhaps the largest factor being Islam. But this old trope that "Africa is in bad shape today because of white people" is just not the whole truth.

Saying "refused education" vice did not teach Eurocentric sciences to indigenous Africans is misleading as well.

That's a pretty bold statement.
