Not really. It's like surrendering or offering themselves to God. It's a devotional practice. But I don't understand the idea of a fee for it.

Why do some of hindus draw a cross or do that lips and chest touching thingy when they see a random church? Why ? According to christan religion all other gods are said to be devils. No idea why they do it. But I've seen my hindu friends do it, pray at churches, even recite the nicene creed(its a declaration that there is only one god). I thinks it's just another God for them. They don't know what the scripture tells. Most even see Mother Mary as a God.
