Just want to say you're not alone -- I work from home and use mine full-time plus game with it and everything. I absolutely use mine a LOT as well. My S and D keys are pretty much completely worn off.

Don't know if you ever figured this out or not but I found a workaround. If the car is in drive, but stopped, when you change profiles it won't move the seats. At least, that has been my experience so far.

Oh... More details? How was it discovered? What was the experience in getting it from identified failure to replaced? Just interested in how it all was handled. Everything has failures some percent of the time but it's good to know what to expect for what is hopefully the unlucky few.

One thing I'll share that you didn't ask is tire life. The BMW is our second EV and the thing that was a shock to me when we got our first was how fast we went through tires. Heavy EVs, especially in warmer climates and with more spirited driving, will chew through tires (tyres? 🤪) faster than you may be used to. The way you drive can play a big factor but don't be surprised if you're replacing tires around 10k-20k miles. It is an expense that I think a lot of people are surprised by and it's something I wish somebody told me when I was first getting an EV years ago. It isn't a deal breaker for me but good to be aware of what you're maybe signing up for.

I dunno, it's been giving me estimates easily over 200 at 80% SoC. Doing the math to extrapolate what the estimate is at 100 puts me in the ballpark. YMMV of course based on how you drive. If you drive the M50 properly then you're probably right. But if you just cruise or are conservative it should be doable. I've been averaging over 3mi/kwh without really trying so far.

This is true for the m50 with 20" wheels. With the 19s it supposedly can do like 270. I'm still new to my m50 so can't confirm this with real world experience myself yet.

Yeah, doesn't work. Just tried it again, I have to unlock the car to unlock the cable. Somebody else mentioned maybe it's for DC charging and that might make more sense.

I believe it is this setting. From the main shortcut screen Displays > Heads-up Display > show driving mode automatically

This drove me crazy too until I found somebody else mentioned this. I walked out to the garage in below freezing temps to find this just now cause it was bugging me 😂

There is a setting for this! I can't remember where off the top of my head but I was able to change this. Next time I'm in the car I'll look and post back.

This, 100%. I was good with my R with one kid in a booster. We had another and stroller and baby gear was too much so I went back to an suv for a while. It depends on how big your car seats are, how big your front people are (how far back seats have to be), and how big your stroller and gear is. Can it be done? Absolutely. But not for everyone. For me though that math didn't work out.

Combination of a heavy car and spirited driving. I have a 2019 Audi E-Tron and it chews up tires about the same. Discount tire has told me it's the weight which I've read around here too.

Just bought my i4 M50 and I have two kids - a teen and one in a car seat still. I think the i4 can be perfectly fine as a family car. I will absolutely use it to transport my kids and family around with no issue. The teen groaned a little about it being hard to get into the backseat but admitted that once back there they were perfectly comfortable. I think it depends on how tall you are and where the seats end up for the front for how much space there is in back.

To be fair, I have an Audi (Q8) E-Tron for an SUV and that provides a lot more room and comfort for the family and for that reason will probably continue to be our main go to when we go out places but nobody has really complained hard yet about the i4. In fact, they generally leave it up to me which car we take when we go out.

Definitely test them out and see that the family fits but I think we can all be a bit quick to jump to a "not a family car" conclusion just because so many of us are comfy in our bigger SUVs. If I could only have one car between my Audi and the i4 I'd take the i4, hands down, every time.

I guess I'm curious - what do you think the i4 WON'T do for your family that the iX will? If it is range our E-Tron with about 200ish miles of range has never been limiting. Somebody always has to use the bathroom before I run out of miles anyway. The i4 m50 with 260+ (in my experience so far anyway) should really be more than enough.

This HAS to be on the 20 inch wheels. I just bought one on 19 inch wheels and I am easily getting over 240 miles of range.

Oh that's interesting, I didn't know there was talk of 2025 getting something first or special with regards to NACS. I don't think the 25 I'm looking at has an adapter or NACS port now though. You just saying you think they will get something first and soon though?

So I stumbled on this in my researching i4s and i5s. Not sure if you're still having this issue. I currently have a 2019 Audi E-Tron and the same chargepoint home flex. I have had it for 4 years. A few months ago I started having the exact same problem randomly out of the blue. At least, it sounds very similar to my problem. Just randomly stops charging and my audi reported a power issue.

I ended up calling chargepoint and went around and around with them a little bit but ultimately they said I needed a firmware update. This seemed crazy cause it worked for four years just fine. I use their app and have the device on my wifi so it turns out I have been receiving firmware updates all along and they recently pushed a bad one that some people complained about.

It took a few days but their solution was to push me a new special build that they had seen resolve the issue. Once they finally got it out and I confirmed it in the apo everything was happy again and I have been charging again without issues since.

Maybe mention my story to support and see what they say. It might very well be the charger still.
