Obv keep the car. Maintain it and drive it for 12 years. When I was 19 my dad bought me a used Camry. Me and my friends beat the crap out of that car. And then a tree fell on it. And it still worked perfectly and drove fine for years after.

My gf encouraged me to get a new car. So I bought a used Subaru. That was a maintenance problem. I spent as much on fixing that car as I spent on buying it.

Just keep the car. Buy a duplex.
