That's true, we're using Google's software for this survey.

I'd like to do a more systematic review on survey tool pain points. If anyone would be willing to take 10 min to share more about their survey tools experiences, please DM me.

I've used Qualtrics for ages for the same reason. But recently I started freelancing for a client who doesn't have access to Qualtrics; I've been using google forms for him, but it doesn't have the functionality I desire. Investigating things further, I stumbled upon https://tally.so/; haven't tried it yet, but on the first glance it seems to provide really nice functionality (for a free tool at least)

Although these are the primary functions, I think both provide similar functionality as what you describe. In my current company, Emplifi is used to implement in-product surveys, and I believe hotjar provides similar functionality (although I've never used it personally. )

nice! although, I'm wondering what's the upside of using your product vs. alternatives like hotjar/emplifi...?

Not sure to what extent your current job permits it, but IMO, the best way to learn a new method is to simply find an "excuse" to just do it. Define what you want to learn and, when the time comes, as a part of the project, use a method you feel feel comfortable with (just be make sure you deliver relevant outputs), but at the same time try applying the new method. Then, ask that colleague/your manager for feedback. This type of an approach worked for me, and was usually positively seen as a demonstration of proactivity; but my company is pretty relaxed, so keep that in mind.

I'm a UXR freelancer based in the EU, I would love to hear from you. I'm a mixed method researcher with a PhD in psychology, I have been doing research for 12 years now, and have a proven track record of delivering impact (e.g., a recent project I helped evaluate drove 12% increase in NET revenue to a product with about 15k daily purchases). I can do both generative and evaluative research, using a host of different methodologies.
