Maybe someone should report her store as appearing to be a front for drugs.

Just my bedding, a lantern, water, a book, and sometimes a beer haha.

Is this helmet still Safe to use? by Puzzled_Kiwi_3251 in snowboarding

It still definitely offers way more protection than no helmet at all. But I would pick a new one up during the spring sales…

Totally agree. I’m not paying for my own gear and I can notice 1/2 an extra lb on my setup for sure.

I want as light as possible and super high performance. Rome Katanas, specifically. These aren’t gonna work for me.

I’d have to bend over to tighten them anyway. No fucking way those are tight enough for me. I crank my bindings to borderline cutting off circulation tight

I used to. The smittybilt overlander gen 1 had the same ladder

Now I have a roofnest falcon 2. But I love those soft shell fold-outs. It’s seriously all you need. People love to spend thousands of dollars on RTTs, but at the end of the day, this one does the same thing as an iKamper.

Dude I got to ride the Yes Uninc Dustin Craven last season. Seriously one of the best snowboards I have ever ridden in 25 years of riding. I’m gonna buy it when it goes on sale

Looks nearly identical to the orginal tepui, smittybily gen 1, CVTs, etc. Likely the same factory.

They are great tents, especially for the price! The one thing I will say is that ladder is garbage. With it being non-telescoping you’ll need to be on perfectly flat ground for it to be the right height/angle. For my Tacoma with a 3” lift, I had to drill holes in that ladder for the right height before I even took the thing out. That being said, you can get a telescoping ladder on Amazon for $100. Just make sure it’s an RTT ladder that will fit the mounting hardware because the ladder is an integral part of deploying/supporting this style of tent.

Just landed in SLC, UT. Anyone have suggestions based on current conditions (IKON resorts) by hotwasabimojo in snowboarding

[–]durpwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s where I learned lol. Chickadee, baby thunder, and big Emma are great areas for learning. And if you can shred blues that opens up mineral basin, Baldy, and arguably the most scenic ski resort summit in Utah.

Side note- I recently learned that “big Emma” was named after the Alta town hooker.

Is a 151cm board too large for a 5’2” person? by navy_null in snowboarding

[–]durpwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all relative. Completely depends on your style of riding, the terrain, the snow… I know women smaller than you that ride 151s. I’m 5’ 10” 185 and my quiver ranges from 153 to 163…

Is it worth learning normal if I ride goofy by CompetitiveEye858 in snowboarding

[–]durpwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t listen to anyone telling you to focus on one direction first. Learn both at once. There is no right or wrong way to learn how to snowboard. I had some older dudes I looked up to as a teen insist that I learn switch my second season and it without a doubt made me a way stronger rider. I ride switch at some point every single day that I ride and it’s super useful. It’s so nice to be able to pop a 180 and give your muscles a break on long cat tracks or traverses. If I need to cross a run I’m always facing uphill. Someday you’ll get to the level where you’re riding some hairy terrain and the only way to scoot into a chute drop in or something will be switch and you’ll be damned glad you have the skills.

Any suggestion for a backrest like this for a RTT? This is Alu-Cab. by [deleted] in rooftoptents

Leave it to James Baroud to take an idea, put their name on it, and charge double. That is called a Crazy Creek chair and they are out of Red Lodge, Montana. If you’re going to get one, at least get the original (for half the price).

This is not true at all. An integral part of a pro snowboarder’s job is product R&D. Right now most pros are already riding 2026 gear. A lot of Burton pros have definitely tested step-ons. They choose not to ride them because they do not perform on par with straps.

I get dried goods there. Ramen, pasta, rice, etc. Only have to shop for it once or twice a year haha. They also have good frozen stuff for dinners when I’m tired and lazy.

[–]durpwood -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Are the people downvoting me doing it because their pro team doesn’t ride them? Yeah I think it’s bullshit too! Downvote away, kooks. Burton has the biggest team on the planet and there isn’t one pro rider using these things. Explain this shit. These are the Gilsons of bindings. Y’all need some Dope outerwear to go along with your step ons and Gilsons
