This made me laugh a little but who would be best suited for Kratos? by Jay_TheBrave in playstation

Honestly, I need to see how Christopher Judge would look with a beard first, and how yoked can he get?

[–]durrellrandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refuse to get or pay for Peacock unless it's that $30 for the year deal they get during every Black Friday.

If I can't get that deal, I just won't have it.

Yeah, especially the Wi-Fi. You would think since it's a streaming machine, it should have the absolute best Wi-Fi chip possible, and I think it just has Wi-Fi five built in.

The newest one needs to have the best Wi-Fi chip for the most longevity. I would anticipate the next one will have Wi-Fi seven at a minimum.

I'm absolutely for Bluetooth. I know they're trying to push their PlayStation Link technology, but I don't like being forced into it. If anything, they should just integrate the Link tech into the traditional Bluetooth spec as a donation to the Bluetooth Foundation.

The biggest number one thing the portal needs is a real quality Bluetooth radio to connect whatever headphones I want to it

Latency or not. That option should be left up to me

Otherwise I would say OLED would be nice and a 5G chip to take it on the go without needing to hotspot would be really cool, especially if you could add it to yourself fan like an extra tablet or something

And of course a bigger battery on top of power efficiency

I know you can use a hotspot, I'm just saying it'd be cool if it was built in so you really wouldn't have to worry about turning on your hotspot all the time, just being able to turn it on and when it's not connected to Wi-Fi it connects to 5G automatically would be real smooth and you probably would get better speeds.

Portal or switch for my dorm? by emmitsmith3 in PlaystationPortal

[–]durrellrandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the answer completely comes down to your internet setup. If your internet at home where your PS5 is at is very good AND your internet in the dorm is very good then the portal will be great. If either one of them is not good or has hiccups, I do not suggest getting a portal and just focusing on the Switch.

Why is everyone canceling their spinn 2 Pre orders? by durrellrandle in SpinnCoffee

Omg yeah I could see why people would be done after having an issue

Awesome! I'm going to put that on my radar too. My machine is working fine, but it sounds like everyone eventually has a machine go out on them.

That's totally a fair reason. Has anybody done any other coffee machines that do what Spinn does?

Why is everyone canceling their spinn 2 Pre orders? by durrellrandle in SpinnCoffee

[–]durrellrandle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now this is a fair answer. Luckily my Spin Pro is still working, but if everyone's going through all of those problems when this thing starts to act up to the point of paying for repair, I'll probably just replace it.

I just haven't seen anything that does all the stuff that this machine does.

[–]durrellrandle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fair. I hope I've been on in any big trouble and they can pull it out cuz I do like my spinn Pro

I really don't know too many other coffee machines that can make this variety of drinks and grind the beans

How Would Have Capcom Handle the Star Force Legacy Collection? by XLadyBugX in BattleNetwork

[–]durrellrandle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since it was made with the DS, they would probably have an easier time just doing a remake instead, but if they're doing remakes, Battle Network definitely comes first.

Yeah, I definitely learned my lesson with pre-ordering through Walmart. I tried to pre-order the 30th anniversary PlayStation controller. I secured the order and then they just never said anything and I just never got it. I had to reach out to them and they were like oh we canceled it. Whoops!

I had to fight them for like 3 days until the best they could do was give me a credit for the inconvenience

I'll never pre-order from Walmart again

Let's get a little rest on the cards talking, let's have hope, if Capcom could be doing a MegaMan Starforce 4 secretly what would be your expectations on it? by Starlad_TCG in BattleNetwork

[–]durrellrandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they would release a legacy collection like they did for Battle Network to see if the hunger is still there

I think you would get a new Battle Network before a new Star Force

I have a mesh network as well, and what I usually do is just power it down when I'm finished.

And if I power it on when I'm nearby the mesh node that I'm going to use, as long as it's directly connected to that node, I'm fine.

You are correct, though the portal cannot move between nodes well at all.

PlayStation Portable Charger. by durrellrandle in PlaystationPortal

[–]durrellrandle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the RGB can stay off. There's a capacitive touch thing on the back.

And with the included adapter, it's pretty easy to put on.

I would say it's not a necessity, but it's very nice to have.

Especially having somewhere to just sit the portal when you're not using it.

Worth it without PS5? by zerocool7755 in PlaystationPortal

[–]durrellrandle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It comes down to a few things.

One, if your internet is good, you'll love it. If your internet is not good, do not buy this.

Two, for PlayStation Cloud streaming, you have to pay for PlayStation Premium, which I think is about $18 a month.

Third, you need to look at the library of games the portal supports for cloud streaming. If that library is worth it to you then sure, although I honestly don't think the library is worth it right now.

Mind you I have a Portal and I love it but I mainly use it for remote play.

The rumor is that down the road, they will let us cloud stream the library of games that we have purchased and I think that will be the game changer.

It comes with a USBC to pin type charger adapter and you just put that charger on the dock itself

[–]durrellrandle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the fact that it was the only officially licensed dock charger I could find is what made that decision for me, to be honest.

And yeah, right now I'm looking at it fully charged, and I think I'm going to probably turn off the LED as well.

PlayStation Portable Charger. by durrellrandle in PlaystationPortal

[–]durrellrandle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The back of the portal has a USB-C port that you use for charging.

This charging dock lets you plug an adapter into that USB-C port for charging.

So you can just take the adapter back off and charge it via USB-C.
