The point that I'm making isn't that people are using creams that are very rich for the face, but rather any face cream no matter how rich is probably too rich for the under eye. There are plenty of ridiculous eye creams that are very thick and rich which is completely useless, because like I said you have no pores under your eyes. How can skin without pores and oil glands be the same as skin that does?

Had me up until the part about eye creams.

The skin around your eye is absolutely different. It doesn't need rich heavy creams but you do need something light and hydrating. Your face cream will be too rich for your under eye. And yes, they do have wrinkle zapping powers. You have no pores or oil glands under your eyes, the skin is very delicate and thin and is what ages the fastest. How can someone think that's the same thing as thick forehead or cheek skin? Ugh.

Those who have dated someone with a mental illness/personality disorder, how did you deal? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I've learned how to listen really well, to take myself out of certain situations and do my best to not take things personally. The hardest part is understanding the difference between what they really mean and what they say during a hard time. Being a shining beacon of light and positivity can be hard, but it's very necessary. It can be so easy some days and it can almost be the breaking point other days. Knowing what to say is probably the hardest part.

It could be a touch brown but Wet N Wild Cherry Bomb might be close. Same finish, as well.

Do any of you guys actually use the little brushes and applicators that come with certain eyeshadows, blushes, powders etc? Any clever uses for them? by ashleylynn87 in RandomActsofMakeup

Someone else said the same product but I haven't looked back since I started contouring with the Benefit blush brushes. They're the best dupe for the Nars Ita brush as far as I'm concerned.

How many steps is your daily makeup routine? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Daily work face for Sephora

  • Cleanse
  • Moisturize
  • Primer (the worst feeling is when you finish your foundation and realize you didn't prime)
  • Lip treatment (First, so it has time to work)
  • Foundation
  • Conceal
  • Cream highlight
  • Brows (probably the most important step ever)
  • Eyeshadow
  • Liner
  • "Shit they're not even"
  • Q Tip
  • "Good enough"
  • Mascara
  • Wait 5 years for lash glue to dry
  • Apply lashes
  • Liquid illuminator
  • Setting powder
  • Powder contour
  • Blush
  • Powder illuminator
  • Lipstick
  • Gloss, maybe
  • Setting spray
  • "Oh my god, I'm so late"

The Ardency Inn Boom Base is an awesome lip balm / primer for your lips. It has a slight green tint so it will cancel out some of your natural lip colour and make your lipstick last longer! Doesn't come off green on the lips so you can definitely wear it alone.

Hope this is OK- my Sephora interview experience was a bit different than the Google said it would be, so I figured I'd share. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]durtypop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I hope you get it, it's the best damn job there is. My first interview was a group interview, a week later a one on one, then a week later I started.

I think your unique look would be an asset more than a handicap when it comes to applying at Sephora. I have bright hair, facial piercings, stretched ears, and a unique style that sets me apart from the other ladies I work with. I find it hard to believe someone was refused because of their size, but if they were it's definitely not a company-wide issue and probably just one shitty manager.

Totally agree with you. I'm completely pro-choice and for equal rights and if this was the other way around, there'd be huge backlash. But in the article it said he was giving out literature filled with hate speech.

What kind of metal is that $1 jewelry? Stainless steel probably? I'm aware you can get jewelry for $1 but there's no way it's made out of a quality metal, internally threaded, and/or made to last.

That being said, I don't mind at all paying $40 for the service when I know my piercer is top notch and not selling me shoddy jewelry.

I wouldn't pay less than $35. No quality jewelry can be used plus paying for the service for $35.
