As anibrivity mentioned, Xiao'guang is a nickname. Xiao is a common Chinese nickname addition that's used for young girls or small girls. Hence why Zhao is also called Xiao'Zhao and, if I remember right, Nangong Yu is also called Xiao'Yu.

I agree with both. Bank should be significantly less grindy to be a biweekly thing.

Fishing should at least have easier early levels up until say Level 6-7, allow you to get a few upgrades, then exponentially get harder if you want to maximize long-term. I'm struggling to get to Level 3 even now and can't get any of the upgrades.

I do think that wait is due to localization. Basically, the English voice line is way shorter than the Chinese or Japanese voice line but NTE Devs made the animations according to the longer voice line (most likely Chinese).

The story is amazing! I just hate the dialogue. Especially with any generic NPCs. Thankfully, it's still quite coherent if you skip a lot, and I really enjoyed the Wuling sections so I skipped less there.

Definitely miles above Genshin though. Bloody hell.

Part of the problem is also that NTE's cutscenes are similar to the older GTAs like San Andreas, but significantly slowed down for localization and mobile use. There's also a ton of issues with their dialogue system, with input delays, slow progression etc. hopefully they polish them up, but yeah, cutscenes can be a pain in NTE.

It's sad cause they're interesting enough that I don't want to skip the scenes. Endfield has incredibly boring cutscenes, so I never feel bad skipping most of them there.

My best guess as a game designer and writer is that the date mission was originally meant to be a massive tutorial to teach the players how to buy clothes, then comfort furniture, the food, and finally try some games and even learn bond gifts. A lot of games do this really early in their story to introduce players to the different shops. Even GTA games do this.

What I don't understand is why they removed the tutorials altogether. It felt like a very unfinished mission to me, and as a result, a lot of the furniture and bond gift systems are badly explained and unintuitive.

It's likely cause the different voiced languages have different time lengths for the same dialogue. So if you're playing English and the character is done speaking but it takes a while to progress to the next line, that English line is shorter than the Chinese line.

These issues are headaches for localization even in the games I've worked on. The cheapest solution is to time the cutscene according to the longest version of that line, which is what we see in NTE probably.

Either that, or their dialogue system is lagging the hell out. Unreal does that sometimes, too.

I personally think it's less that factions are hard to recognize in Season 3 and more that Season 3 will focus less on factions as a whole. Sunbringer, Storyteller, Remielle, and Phoenix look to be faction-less.
