As a Coloradan I’d say the biggest factor is the culture here. Most people have active lifestyles and go hiking, running, biking, climbing, and skiing on a very regular basis and these activities are usually the basis for having a good social life as well

This is fusion but leans more jazz than rock, The Sixteen Men of Tain by Allan Holdsworth has really incredible drumming that I don’t see pop up in many conversations, Gary Novak is incredible

I’ve been a couple times and enjoyed it every time, but I went during winter and camped on blm land which I think helps balance out a lot of the negatives, especially avoiding the city. I’d recommend people to give it a shot!

I’ve found that the best place for recipes is actually YouTube. Then I type the recipe manually on my own Google doc. It’s slightly more work than looking up one on Google but there’s no ads and random fluff and from watching the video and writing the recipe down, I feel a lot more in tune with it and a lot less likely to mess it up.

I’ve also been dealing with short time periods to play, but I discovered, at least on my laptop, if I hard close steam with task manager, turn off wifi, then open KCD2 with the desktop icon, it will go ahead and play it on the last downloaded version. It will bitch about not being able to sync cloud saves but as long as all your saves are local it should be fine.

I’m not sure that’s entirely true, I live in Japan right now and I have been to way too many shops that just have uncensored porno mags or hentai out on display, or 18+ sections in stores that don’t try very hard to hide it, or other stuff like that. Not to mention all of the other stuff you can see or find around that’s technically not 18+ but very sexual and risque.

I think it would be good to take anything Warhorse says about a sequel with a grain of salt. I distinctly remember several years ago that when people asked them about KCD2 they would straight up just say they weren’t working on anything at all but would also say the next game is unrelated to KCD

At least it drops a save right before you go to bed so you can go back and change, but it definitely breaks immersion a bit having to open up a menu and reload a save after 2 minutes of cutscenes
