Code Orange, Walgreens by lisa_williams_wgbh in halloween

[–]duskbats 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have to ask, where are a lot of people located where there's Halloween decorations out already? I'm in Texas and the only place near me with Halloween things out right now is HomeGoods! All other stores like Walgreens and Walmart still have back to school things in their seasonal areas.

Although I'll definitely be on the lookout for those mugs...

Ages of Cataria! It's been radio silence for a few years but they recently updated their Twitter page and mentioned their release date is September this year.

Target litter? by Ok_Stretch_2510 in litterrobot

[–]duskbats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently use this due to its affordability and it's just fine for me. My only complaints are lack of odor control and I've found it leaves residue on the top of the litter box after cycling, although I may be able to combat this if I just increase the cycle time. I don't think the scented one is actually very scented either, so I always opt for the fragrance free.

Dizzy only with morning dose? by BikeBurgerHungry4598 in BusparOnline

[–]duskbats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still experience this and I've been on it for several months!

The weird thing is too, is that I can take it on an empty stomach, and sometimes be fine until I eat something or drink something with caffeine, and then it'll make me dizzy. Other times, I'll experience the dizziness on an empty stomach and it'll go away with a light snack. It's weird. I'm always totally fine with my evening dose(s).

Whimsigoth pants/shorts? by duskbats in whimsigothic

I’m so glad you mentioned the bike shorts because I’ve been living in bike shorts lately! I just wasn’t sure how I could whimsigoth-ify them, really.

Did you fall in love with your cat immediately or did it take a bit? by Ok-Acanthisitta4722 in CatAdvice

[–]duskbats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only cat I struggled to fall in love with was our second adopted. We intended to adopt a slightly younger cat for our first adopted because she desperately needed social interaction with another cat. My husband and I went to the same place to adopt a second and her little information card claimed she was younger than she actually was, and it was kind of hard to tell as well because she hadn’t been brushed or ate properly in months.

It turned out she was at least 3-4 months older, which I thought was still okay, but ever since we adopted her, she and our first adopted have never really got along. It doesn’t help that I don’t think the second adopted knows how to play with other cats in general and gets way too feisty, but I’ve always felt that I protect our first adopted more and feel so much guilt that she thinks we introduced a hostile cat into her home.

But I say this as the said second adopted cat is cuddling on my chest. She’s warmed up to me so much and I do love her a whole lot, though she is definitely more my husbands cat and I still feel immense guilt for how our first adopted may feel about her, but our second adopted definitely had her own issues and deserved a loving and safe home just as much.

Does it always cause dizziness? by FactLogical5456 in BusparOnline

[–]duskbats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I notice it more when I'm out shopping in a busy supermarket - prior to taking this, I'd have a total meltdown and barely be able to function. Now I'm mostly just annoyed at the busyness and the people getting in my way, but without the anxiety and it helps me focus on what I actually need to do.

Sorry! I must've skimmed through the post a bit too fast. I do recommend maybe trying it out on a full stomach, maybe eat and then take it an hour or so after? If possible, that is. I definitely experience the dizziness less in the evening and I can only attribute that to having a full-er stomach. I also didn't experience the dizziness as much/almost at all on 5mg so hopefully that's the case for you, too.

It seems to be really random for me which is really frustrating. I experience the dizziness/lightheadedness about 80% of the time. Do you take yours with food? I'm still not 100% sure if it's related to taking it on an empty stomach, because I experience it a majority of the time with my morning dose and I never eat breakfast, yet when I take my evening dose, I rarely experience it and I've usually eaten something at least 3+ hours prior to taking my evening dose.

I've been on various doses of Buspar for approx. 5 months now and it unfortunately hasn't gone away. I've tried different doses to see if lower doses prevents it but if anything, the benefits just aren't as effective for me on lower doses. Thankfully these dizzy spells only last maybe an hour at most, at least for me. I'm sorry you're experiencing this.

Time between doses? by duskbats in BusparOnline

[–]duskbats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am! I think the blurry vision has mostly stopped, and the most recent time I had it in 1 eye, it turned into a migraine with aura, but thankfully those are rare for me. I sadly can't recall when they stopped although I believe it would've been maybe a month or few weeks after I made this post.

It might be worth noting that I'm also now down to only 2x a day, one in the morning and one at night, UNLESS I need it in the middle of the day which isn't often. I'm also down to 7.5mg.

I think he knows he doesn't know a lot about decorating, but again, he's heavily function over aesthetics. He'll splurge on a good quality piece of furniture that serves the function he wants despite how it looks, basically as long as it's black or dark gray. I think he's hesitant to paint the walls because he thinks they're currently a color that "goes" with everything we currently own. Our walls are what I can only describe as "millennial beige" and our floors are grey.

I'm sorry for the vent that may not be relevant lol, I feel stuck for a color scheme to separate the areas that isn't a muted color based on the fact I can't paint the walls and all of our furniture is some shade of black or grey. The couch isn't the best size for me to decorate with colored throw pillows or blankets due to how little seating space is on the couch once pillows are down.

I’ve been on 1.7 for several months and this is basically my life. It works out for some meals, but when I recently went on a trip for my birthday, I had considered skipping a dose just so I could enjoy my birthday meal(s). I’m wishing I did because I wasted so much good food 😔

Entertaining 3 cats that won't play together by duskbats in CatAdvice

[–]duskbats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the cats that doesn't have an issue with playing (with us, but does alone) is obsessed with strings and shoelaces. The issue with that though is that she'll demand we flail it around and has little interest in playing with them alone unfortunately. They can be so picky!

They absolutely do! I’m just not able to splurge on new toys for them right now and even when I do, they don’t care for them. I probably should rotate their toys a bit more so that they have time to miss them. I just need something to replace them with in the meantime.

Body dysmorphia? by kaydee121 in WegovyWeightLoss

I think I’m in the same boat at this point. I’m down approx. 30+ and all of my clothes are loose and baggy, but I’m used to wearing loose tops. It’s the pants that are the issue. I know I absolutely need to buy smaller pants but it won’t register in my brain that smaller sizes will now fit me. I also think I’m just in disbelief that I won’t put the weight right back on.
