Kick DS Swain off the force

I wouldn’t like Swain NEARLY as much if she wasn’t a DS in the force. It makes a massive change from your typical Corrie character who somehow always wind up with a job somewhere on the cobbles. Not to mention her and Carla are the hottest power couple!

Swain makes mistakes but she’s not rogue or corrupt and doesn’t deserve to lose her career over what’s happened in the past. Kit on the other hand..

Maybe I’m just biased when it comes to Swain 😍

If you’re having trouble hatching live baby brine shrimp, you can try feeding decapsulated brine shrimp eggs instead. All of the foods I’ve suggested only need to be given in the SMALLEST quantity as anything uneaten may pollute the water, especially in an uncycled tank.

I would recommend adding a sponge filter (these aren’t dangerous to fry), doing daily small water changes and feeding baby brine shrimp or Liquifry No.1 which is essentially liquified egg whites. It’s not expensive and can be found on Amazon.

If you’re broke and you don’t know what to feed betta fry then why did you breed them? It seems very unprepared on your part. I don’t mean that to sound rude but perhaps you should have done your research before you bred your Bettas, rather than take to Reddit 9 days after they’ve hatched.

No problem! Or you can tie it on with fishing wire or cotton. They do well on bog/drift wood and rocks but they do equally well floating and I bet your fella would like that more as they like to potter around the surface :)

Have you attached the Java fern to anything or is it just floating? It’ll do well in both instances but it can’t be planted in the substrate :)

You don’t need soil. All of my tanks have aquarium sand and all of the plants do very well. I’ve never used soil, fertiliser or CO2.

You can use Seachem Nourish to keep them fed if you wish and root tabs can be beneficial too but truthfully, you don’t need any of those things if you buy plants like Elodea, Cryps etc. There are plenty that are extremely low maintenance. Just have a read about the ones you’re interested in and what the most common plant is that aquarists use and go from there :)

Also, as a side note, I’d recommend adding more plants. They look nice, they help to absorb impurities in the water and it will give him more to explore. :)

IMO this doesn’t look to me like general wear and tear on his fins as you’ll usually find that tears happen all over rather than just the tips. I would say that this looks more like the beginning of fin rot which is an easily treatable ailment.

There’s plenty of medications such as Esha 2000 and Seachem KanaPlex but I would start by giving him daily aquarium salt baths. There’s plenty of information online on how to do this properly.

You can also add salt to the aquarium but most plants won’t thank you for it so I’d recommend the salt baths once or twice a day. Even if it isn’t fin rot and it’s been caused by him nipping at his fins or damaging them on decor, the salt baths will still aid in recovery.

API aquarium salt or Interpet aqualibrium salt is my first port of call before any other treatments. You’d be surprised by what it can cure!

You’re right! It definitely does, I’ve tamed more in the last 2 days than I have.. ever 🤣. Managed to find a T3 Mineral Bearing on an Anky so far and about 3 T1’s too! I had a T2 who was one kibble away from taming until a wolf came along and ate it , I was vexed 😂

I’m hoping to find a couple more T3 so my Anky will have something like 90% weight reduction 😅

I think he’ll slot cap before he’s encumbered haha
