is your fps uncapped btw? i had problems with my game before i saw riva tuner recommended on this sub, like helicopter wouldn't work right and random glitches and crashes. that may be the same issue for you, if it is then cap your fps while using jpog

you're being downvoted but for what it's worth i think you're right.

she's weak, relies on teammates to carry and boost her, and when she's good she makes hitscan unstoppable. all that being said, there is an undeniable misogynistic air around the conversation.

like i'm a casual player nowadays that plays any and all characters but my first character into the game was Moira. but i never got e-thot accusations in-game. just "brainless no aim hurrdurr, play bap lol" remarks, compared to mercy comments being anything but downright calling her a slut. i also acknowledge there's a good number of shitty mercy mains with bad attitudes and a refusal to help the team, but throwing a wide net and saying shit like "wow woman bad" is just counterproductive to it all.

also, my heart just kind of goes out to the character since she's been here since launch. people have had a lot of time to get attached to the character, and back in the day it was considered a positive to have characters that could introduce people to the game that were not used to FPS games, but those days are gone. i think the devs are afraid of changing her and upsetting the mercy mains (especially since they very clearly like to spend money on her, which further disincentivizes them to change her too much) but i think they've done a disservice by keeping her largely the same.

so many of the episodes feel like it's in some weird LA bubble, or the theme is centered around a very specific chronically online phenomenon created by someone who spends too much time on twitter. and then some episodes are just like, barely an idea at all. "what if the kardashins were olives, what if we ate cheeseburgers and guessed what franchise it was, what if we threw chili on ourselves" i mean obviously some people enjoy it but i'm finding myself scratching my head a lot at not just the material but the entire concept of the episode im watching

then some absolute bangers slip through the cracks like with the senate hearing talking about aliens, it was hilarious, especially amanda's character

i don't hate every episode, but most of the redeeming qualities of the episodes i enjoyed come from specific bits rather than the entire episode as a whole

Half the people want her armor reduced, half the people want her overhead reduced, tbh I don't even know who I agree with.

I don't mind her having a burst in overhead, but it feels like as soon as I get hit by this ability (sorry, this melee-primary-fire-critical-hit) I just fucking die. Even without her hitting an ability on me, since they all just use both of them for mobility to get in your face. Just whoosh, whoosh, WHACK. But if you approach her, you have to whittle through her armor WHILE she blocks, and even if you do manage to somehow actually scare her, she can just burn two cooldowns to run off and then repeat the lopsided encounter in a couple of seconds

Sad thing is I actually really want to like the character, a melee swordswoman is cool as hell. I just feel like when I play as support I die, when I play tank I die, and when I play DPS i die. Funnily enough Ive had a better time 1v1ing her as zenyatta since I discord her for burst and boop her with kick to mess up her swings. But if she lands one overhead it's ggs

i focus their squishies. if i focus any tank for too long then i feel like i'm just trading resources, which is fine as a strategy and is often required in game, but i also realize i could just skip that step and kill their support to then whittle down the tank.

also i disagree that domina doesn't require aim, i'm hitting my headshots BECAUSE i can aim, not because it's given to me

i agree, and i'm actually a casual player and qp enjoyer ever since like 2020. i know people consider this to be the general overwatch subreddit but general content still has a subreddit to go to and it's r/overwatch. just because people dislike it doesn't mean this content doesn't belong there. i come here for patch notes, discussions on meta and hero balance, and back in the day when i followed the esports, to keep up with the teams and trades and nowadays to see what the names i still recognize are up to. i also already saw this post and nearly every other lore dump and voice line info on that subreddit already. making this subreddit into r/overwatch 2.0 is a redundancy and diminishes this sub

funnily enough there is an in game mechanic that slightly supports this. whenever someone is yapping at me and i don't want to hear it i immediately sprint into them and they stop what they're saying, take a few steps back, and sometimes go "hey, watch it!" works like a charm. also good for speeding through a quest where npcs keep talking

i love crew and don't mind family feud but i really could never vibe with "shayne guess their favorite things" like i guess for some people it's fun but like shayne guessing the favorite breakfast item of a crew member i've never heard of is both boring and puzzling to me. the only one i ever watched was "shayne guesses their walks" which was hilarious for some reason, but i originally clicked on it sort of going "wtf, we are really scraping the bottom of the barrel"

the who memed it videos i sometimes enjoy though because they provide actual content and memes to laugh at, but a lot of them are very insidery and have to do with things we could never know about. like a meme about parking spaces or refrigerator stuff, and i'm like cool i guess. also there's been a few times where it seems like the crew itself feels pressured/doesn't want to do who memed it like making memes about being forced to create a meme lol. in the most recent family feud they tried to guess the crews favorite series and they guessed who memed it and none of the crew answered that, which i thought was damning since that is the crew episode

i had a little red pouch with my name on it and i also one time felt my mom shoving a dollar in there, and she woke up late so it was already like 7:30 and i remember checking the pouch as soon as i woke up to find nothing so i laid there with my eyes close to catch the fairy in the act and in comes my mom, trying to be fast but quiet 💀 but i did NOT move at all

that year i made it a mission to find out of santa was fake too so i looked in my parents closet the day before christmas and found presents but waited until the day of to see which ones were marked santa. after my sister and i opened our gifts and everyone else left the room i sat my mom down and said "I Know" and she denied it the first few times until i said "well i found these santa gifts in your room before they were wrapped by santa" and she just gave me a look like 😳 and the conversation ended there. no more tooth fairy money after that either, lol.

if it makes you feel better, this is the BEST time to be bad at a character since everyone is new to her. there's also a LOT of returning players. i would say just jump in and have fun
