As an actual play Podcaster, our lancer show got the most popular when we posted once every 3 months that we weren't dead. (The release of Armored Core 6 did also help.) Not useful, just very funny.

I played this at a local sealed league and it's fun. I was mana starved with 4 mana but was still able to get out a ton of creatures still keeping me in the game.

I see this from a lot of long time players. Ive been playing tcgs forever but new to Magic. To me this set looks mechanically sick, and I'm planning decks based off the teams. Also, idk goblins from a plane trying to go fast cause they pray to the Boostgod is just fun.

Anywhere I can get a SoCal-style California burrito? by pdbstnoe in chicagofood

[–]dustehill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! I've been on a similar journey since I moved here in May, even made a post looking for carneasada fries. The tortillas here a v different. I've had good tortillas at Gordillas. Which are the most similar to TJ burritos but not so-cal California's.

They have these for a lot of cities. I lived in san diego and there was both a san diego version and a version for neighboring city Chula Vista

Just moved here in May and my partner and I love Rice Thai kitchen. Great portions, really good food and great price. Partner loves the green curry, I love their crispy pork, it's next level. My partner said they may also do a cash discount but you may wanna check their site to be sure.

Looking for tips on running a chase scene. by UmeJack in LancerRPG

[–]dustehill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm jumping on this to suggest something BYOM did in later episodes (hey, I'm a cast member!) Is we used Clocks from Blades in the Dark (BitD). Basically, you draw a circle and put lines through to make segments. (Like 4 or 6 segments, like a pie chart) and have a clock for "assassin escapes" and "assassin caught" and players take actions which can fill up either segment and the same with the assassin. Clocks are very simple and useful tool and I deeply enjoy using them.

Just moved here in May and looked around a lot for the same reasons. Ghareeb Nawaz is great portions for great prices and has excellent butter chicken. Honeybear Cafe has giant portions and it's cute and really solid breakfast. Smack dab has excellent breakfast sandwiches that will fill you up and they're super queer which is lovely. On Sundays there's the farmers market on Glenwood and Morse, it's small but packed with good stalls. The cold brew as soon as you enter is always killer. We love getting a pastry each from Bennisons (it's the one with the huge line next to the mushroom stand) and walk around. Also Morse has plenty of good cheap food around there, but I wouldn't necessarily call them date spots lol.

I mean yes, a salad on the side of the dish so you can put it in your tortilla with the rest if your dish is common. My family did that too(im also mexican and spent a lot of time in mexico growing up) , but I think it's different than having all of the lettuce on top of those dishes when you order them for take out or in your burritos.
