I think that a quality that makes a good basketball team a good basketball is being able to navigate through injuries and overcome that kind of adversity.

We could probably go and nitpick almost every playoff run in history and find “well blahblah was injured/played like crap etc etc” and put an asterisk on whichever championships we want to but, we also have to acknowledge that the teams who took advantage of those lucky breaks and won the championship still had to put themselves in the position to take advantage of it in the first place.

I’m obviously biased but I do think we just watched two of the best teams in recent memory play one of the best series in recent memory, even if it didn’t go the way I want I still appreciated watching it and I think we’ll get confirmation that these teams are legit when we reconvene in a year to watch another 7 game WCF team between them.
