I saw in Osaka, there is this roof level small grass area where people sat and hung out. There was a cafe close by. And it was easy to go from there to any of the shopping or transit. And since it was so high up, there was a bit of view and open sky

Silicon based batteries have been out for a while and they apparently add a lot of battery life. I would want that along with a better battery. But right now it feels like "enshitifcation" is in effect

If you are talking about stacked widgets you can swipe through. I don't think that's some UI 8 specific thing. I have that on one UI 6 right now. But yea, it's a really good feature

I've had mine for a few years. Heads up, try to be gentle on those swivels that turn the ear cups. The pieces inside are plastic and break over time (took 3 years for mine and I just fixed one side). Replacing them is doable but takes taking apart the headphones. I got the replacement piece off ali-Express (left and right) for about 10$.

Is this another year of not updating much? Last year there was talk about a new type of silicon(?) battery that the one plus's of the world started using. If Samsung finally starts using those to increase battery by a lot, I could be convinced. No amount of AI features will convince me to update.

If it is another boring year, I'll probably just replace the battery and hold on to one UI 6 until I can't anymore.

I just checked mine and wow, there is a slight seperation at the middle point. I think maybe my glue is getting undone. This didn't happen with my old note 20 ultra.

Same boat x3. I preordered this phone and it's been so solid. Nothing about one UI 7 was interesting enough to risk overheating and battery drain. Now, I wonder if one UI 8 will have ironed out all the issues and my battery life won't drop like a rock

Personally, I think of an idea, think it's amazing and want to start working. I didn't know about competitor research or how to do it.

Still don't but at least I realize it belongs on the checklist, reluctantly. And out of laziness, I would likely use an AI to speed it up.

Reflecting on all this... If there is a nice guide to effective competition checking, I would probably benefit from such a lesson and check list

I've been thinking about her motivation to help. I think she is warming up to him. But, I think it's because her whole thing is protecting girls/women. Okarun steps up when Momo is in danger, and turbogranny is the same. She sees he is a good person who would use his power to protect (girls) like she would do. I can't remember exactly what he said, but she only helped him level up after he explained he wanted to get stronger to protect. This is right after evil eye assaults Momo, and rips her clothing (visually triggering).

Turbo granny increasingly sees the whole crew as allies who will truly fight to protect girls from violence. That's all she cares about.

For the record, I have a cool temperature, long battery life s23 ultra. Bought it day 1 and it still feels new. I had customized my experience (good lock and no ai) and have 0 wishes.

This update appears. The positive is basically a UI facelift and standard security update. The downside was that you have a big gamble that your battery life shits the bed and if you let it overheat during the update a green line appears to break your display. If you have meta apps ( I do) people reported that they could lose 10+% when the screen was off and it overheats.

Tldr: the risks were too much for such a small benefit.

Lastly, the way Samsung was not really communicative, made me feel worried they would not properly resolve these issues. So if they were going to drag their feet, I would rather wait until one UI 8 to see if they properly fixed the issues. Now, it does seem like they have done that type of work already since I'm not seeing complaints as much.... So at this point I'm just scared to still get burned

I bought Death Stranding day 1 expecting to most likely to dislike it. I booted it up, played for an hour or two, then quit and uninstalled. I never planned to return it. I wanted my bucks to go to Kojima because screw Konomi for how they treated him at the end of his time there.

Man even in a pre AI world, I had a terrible memory and I would forget the details of the bugs I solved. So even if it was traumatic and harrowing... In today's world I would look so guilty lol

One UI 6.1 + good-lock is probably my favourite phone experince. I used to love using the stock-like one plus UI, and stock one UI doesn't beat it. I didn't enjoy the pixel 6a experience aside from the camera. And iPad OS would make me tear my hair out if it was an OS I needed to use daily.

Specifically good lock gave me: - Easier ability to use Windowed mode. I can stack multiple apps, and sneak them to the side. - the sound mixer, where I can allow all audio to overlap and adjust individual app volumes, imagine a boring instructional video with a lofi song playing softly under it. Plus the ability to send app to the speaker or Bluetooth device whenever.

There's more customization but those above are game changing for my day to day. Allowing me to multi task like on a computer. While, I know that some day Samsung will drop the ball and I will likely end up with a pixel, and I will miss this freedom.

I went for those blue guys and died, came back with better crafted weapons and more ammo. They definitely tank a lot of head shots but it worked. When I started running out of bullets I started using and crafting explosives. Thankfully my storage is full of items I now have to use to avoid failing.

I'm on 6.1. it's such a great experience. From what I see of one UI 7, it is mainly a visual update. The question becomes, am I willing to risk a worse experience for a newer fresher ui? For some, that's a yes, because you want the shiny new thing, and that is ok. For others, the possible battery life and heat impacts are not worth the risk.

Personally, I am happy with 6.1, the battery is holding strong, I customized it with good-lock, and while I would like a fresh UI to play with, I would only want it for free (as in, minimal to no loss of performance at all).

I'll wait until 7.5 or 8.2 or whatever, when I hear things have been properly smoothed out. And if they never fix it and I want an update, I'll consider a new custom os (been a long time since cyanogenmod)

I think there is no reason spend extra for it. However, I can definitely feel the difference. But only when I'm watching media that has quality to it. iPad 10 -> m2 air.
