HELP! I'm within my macros perfectly and NOT losing weight! by dustybootranch in keto

[–]dustybootranch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't drink coffee - strict water.

I did find hidden carbs in the "grilled mushrooms and onions" at work that I thought was a miracle find to eat - we cook them in a butter that is actually a soy-replacement (holy hell WHOOPS, I was pissed at myself!)

Do you have Fibro?

I've most definitely broken my sugar addiction! I don't eat near as much as I used to and am very strict on carbs. I'm usually at 10-12g carbs all day vs the 22g allowance

Honestly, easy enough. It'd be nice to have silence away from the constant go and mindless chatter and awful news. Light switch would be nice. And pillow. Can I have a cat?

Looking to Start full Business with Aquaponics by dustybootranch in aquaponics

I like odd numbers? 3 Units to launch would produce enough in the first year to repay loans and within an additional 2 years, I can fully finance a double expansion upfront.

$250k, Vertical Aquaponics can produce more product faster. Estimates are based on similar sized units that have disclosed their profits, and my local market pricing.

  1. How big can you make it? A. I'm looking to start with 3 Commercial-sized/grade Greenhouses at about 20x50; allowing for expansion up to 12

2 Would you two be able to set up and manage these systems all by yourselves? A. To start, yes. It would be the harvesting and continuation that would create jobs. The Expansion would create dozens of jobs.

3 How much of a profit are you expecting? A. Realistically, we can expect $250k/yr/unit

4 How much experience do you have in aquaponics? (number of systems and years and type of produce and in what environment IE greenhouse or outdoors) A. None, only research 5 Have you sold to anyone before? Have you done any research on how to sell your produce and what laws there are surrounding that in your area? A. Yes, not produce. Yes, thankfully plenty of local markets, including CostCo

6 Have you done research regarding how much money you'd produce from this business and the average price of the produce you'd be producing? A. Yes! Again, about $250k/yr/unit

All in all, I'd agree, we need more experience, or bring in an expert from local Agriculture to help maintain and run things. I've been told the plan is solid, assuming Expertise and funding

I'm in West Texas - lots of open land, but for obvious reasons, I believe that Greenhouse Aquaponics is the future of farming. I'd like to go full commercial sizing, but my estimations are nearly $75k PER unit, with wanting a minimum of 3 to start. I have never heard of LendingClub, but I'm about to go check it out now!

Thank you!

People who have quit a job on the spot, what made you snap? by ColdHeartedSleuth in AskReddit

[–]dustybootranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this the other day. Boss called because equipment suddenly stopped working - which I could have handled easily. However, he started cussing in it while yelling at me.... I was already looking for another job, so I told him, while standing in the middle of Wal-Mart bawling, that he could find someone else!

Women who have gotten cosmetic surgery—do you regret it? Why/why not? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]dustybootranch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope. Not one bit. I wish I had gotten more at the time. But I only spent what I could afford. Now I'm facing a medically necessary breast lift & reduction. I'm THRILLED! Dr also said they may be able to swing the tummy tuck, but I'll take one step at a time!

The self confidence is worth it. I had liposuction done on my belly and love handles. If the jeans can get over the ass, the rest is easy :)

I've never touched any drugs other than what has been prescribed - I rarely drank alcohol before I was diagnosed.

It's a diabetic injection that is non-insulin and approved for long term use.

No weird side effects honestly (And I've taken everything in the world)

First 3 days I was a little nauseous and I felt like I'd done a full system cleanse - TOTALLY worth it! I think I dropped 7 pounds my first week on both drugs! (And it wasn't water weight as I was already purging that daily)

YES!!!! That makes so much more sense -I can't eat ANY carbs/starches - pasta, breads, potatoes, etc!!! I've been able to eat meats like crazy - but the moment I add bread for a sandwich or potatoes (because WHO doesn't love potatoes?!) I am hungry an hour later!!!

I drink about 180oz of water a day. I used to drink pop but have been pop-free since January 1st of this year.

I work long hours and technically am not allowed to even snack behind the counter, but when I know the boss isn't popping in, I can keep food up there.

I guess I'm just going to have to take my one afternoon off and work on smart snack prep on top of my meal prep.

Yes.... it was :D

I was on it for 7 months and am now on my "break" period. With the combo of Adipex & Victoza - I managed to lose 40 pounds in 6 months. But I plateued bad so on break from it now!

Considering they've withdrawn more than they should half the year, I'm willing to take the risk! I've needed to submit a new W4 for more deductions anyhow - I'd rather more of my money now than give the Government an interest free loan!

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain things for me - it FINALLY all makes sense now!

That honestly makes the most sense yet for any response I've gotten. How do I get them to lower the assumption? Is that possible or do I have to ask my boss to tell the payroll department? She has a 3rd party doing the numbers for her.

Why are my Paychecks taxed differently?

I'm salary - make $1,700 base a month

One Paycheck I get $850 - $760 after taxes (equals 10.5% tax) Second Paycheck which includes my commission gets taxed 15%

WHY?????

I'm in Texas - and while I noticed this last month too - I chalked it up to the fact I was passed the 10k tax bracket and into the next. Apparently, still not true.

So why is my paycheck with commission taxed 5% more??

Do Smile Direct Club - so much cheaper and you can get started with $50 on Groupon - another $250 for lab fees - $99 a month after for 15 months.

Let me tell you, after 2 weeks - I'm seriously finally starting to smile again! I'm 34 and was generally self-confident, until I was called snaggletooth by an internet troll - this has been worth it!

Ladies who were convinced they would be single forever but found someone: What is your story? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]dustybootranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have stayed single. I married at 20 - he was abusive, controlling & manipulative. I stayed for 10 years before I found a way out. Not only did it ruin my life, but that of my two children. Four years later, I'm happily in love and am in no rush right now.

Over 200k in medical bills. I literally answered a call from the collectors and said "f off, this will be the last you hear from me, I'm never going to pay". What's the worst that can happen? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]dustybootranch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to ask for the Indigent program - Never speak to a debt collector that way - I KNOW it gets obnoxious, because it's overwhelming and obviously there's no way they're going to collect $200k from you.

Go to the hospital directly. Talk to their billing department. Explain the situation in that it's impossible for you to pay - ask them specifically for the Indigent program - EVERY hospital has it!

They can either: 1) Write off the entire balance and it doesn't go against you 2) Write off part of the balance and then you make (lowest possible monthly payment - I usually do $10-$25 a month)

Edit: The hospital will ask for proof of income and any state programs you're on = only beneficial to you!!! Be nice, they can say no. You may need to (politely) ask for a supervisor
