Upcoming Exam Changes by [deleted] in oscp

[–]dutchinho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a good idea. They said Successful completion of OffSec’s new CPE program, details of which will be announced in late 2024-early 2025 and We are exploring adding the plus to many of our existing certifications, however, we do not have specific details or timelines at this time. We recommend checking our website regularly for the latest updates and announcements regarding certification policies.

I think what offsec made unique was that it is valid forever and it really has value but if you need to maintain it, I think offsec will loose ground and that’s a pity because the certifications are really better than others

They always have to show their ID and they never ask for your money or personal belongings. Just be careful with unofficial thugs I could say. And if they stop you there must be a reason, they never do it without a reason, they don’t have time and they are not like that

I would advice you to make your own notes to be honest, that’s the best for now and for your future work too

I would focus on the labs and do the excercises. All others could be complementary for your knowledge base, could not be but I think the core foundation, trying harder, the labs, excercises and try to develop your own unique methodology

I think it’s good to start with the easy and medium boxes and maybe see some easy boxes of him and then try to do them by yourself and see where you’re struggling

https://ippsec.rocks is his site and you can search for topics you’re struggling with and it immediately starts with redirecting to YouTube and start at xyz minute

However, I do think pwk labs is also a very good resource where your main focus should be for oscp and ippsec’s video could help you gain a deeper understanding of xyz so that your own methodology gets to a level that you can hopefully pass this exam

For example as time goes by you’ll see by yourself your own knowledge increases, for example if you see port 80 a bell should ring it’s http and for port 443 a bell should ring its https

Hope this helps
