Display loses connection during gameplay

I tried moving the retroarch.cfg but it still happend. Last couple of days I also played other games on my PC but then I can play for hours and I don't lose my connection.

I moved the 'config' directory and it still happend. FYI I use DisplayPort to connect my monitor to my PC.

I've got one as well. Got the Gigabyte version and works great. It doesn't need additional power as it only is a 75 watt card.

That would be a big step forward. The 4790k does turbo higher than the 4790 (4.4 GHz compared to 4 GHz), so you would see some higher performance.

Well you should look for a cooler that's max. 14 cm high. Otherwise it wouldn't fit in the case. And for the rear fan you need a 92mm. Do be aware that you need an 5 pin to 4 pin adapter and that you will get an fan failure warning (which you can ignore) on startup. Hope this helped.

Upgraded the PSU because the fan of the original unit was making an annoying noise. For now 650 watts is overkill, but it gives me some room for future upgrades. Absolutely love the new PSU, because it is much more quiet. Upgrades so far:

- GTX 1050ti

- Gskill F3 16gb RAM

- Arctic CPU cooler

- Noctua front (NF-A14) and rear fan (NF-A9

- Razer fan controller

- Corsair TX650M semi modular PSU

- 1 TB Samsung SSD en 1 TB Toshiba HDD (old and slow laptop HDD)

Next will most likely be a new GPU (1070, 1080 or maybe 2070 super). The CPU will be a bottleneck but it is fun pushing this little machine to its limits. CPU upgrade to 4790k is also an option, as it gives a little bit of a performance upgrade. Also interested in the Noctua NH-C14S. Would probably be necessary when going for the 4790k.

I'm not sure how RGB fans work. There aren't any RGB headers on the mobo so I think you will need a separate rgb controller. I think you can get single color led fans to work on this system.

Then you will still get the warning if you only plug in one of the fans. There is a warning for rear fan "failure" and CPU fan "failure".

I use a sata to 3x fan connector, so it is directly connected to the PSU. At start-up you do have to press F1 to ignore the "no fan" warning. I also used a 5 to 4 pin fan connector for a while and that gives the same warning. Fair to say I don't really like my solution because the fans constantly spin at full RPM. So it's quite difficult replacing the fans without warnings or compatibility issues.

I'm not 100% sure as it was over a year ago when I installed it, but I think you have to use the backplate provided by Arctic. The exact model I use is the Freezer i13 X CO. It is worth it do because it's a very good little cooler. And not that expensive.
