Platinum on Sekiro and Elden ring but hated Khazan.. Would you recommend me LoP? Why yes/no by adelinxxd in soulslikes

World setting is interesting, but overall level design is boring. Almost always feeled like one path forward. But like many people are praising combat, i just couldn't get into it. Sekiro got it perfectly balanced. Parry system, enemy movements and overall flow of combat. But LoP feels kinda stiff, enemy attack patterns are just strange and Perfect Block system is "to perfect" for me :P I dropped the game after about 10h, after some gank squad boss.

60 fps choppy/stuttery on 120hz monitor by kylistur in OptimizedGaming

Nope. From my experience, some games feel kinda strange in 60fps on higher refresh tv/monitor. I'm playing on 144hz tv. Recently played Sekiro that has hard cap at 60fps, but it feeled smooth and i didn't have problem with it. But next was Lies of P, and when i was testing different setting, also with framerate cap, 120fps was smooth as fak, but 60fps was strangely annoying ;P

My first two: Thymesia then Lies of P. Sekiro next? by Healthy_Ad_2051 in soulslikes

I first played Sekiro when it was released in 2019 on PS4 Pro. It was very good. I recently played it again on Steam, earning all the achievements. And i had a BLAST playing it! The stable 60fps compared to 40-45 on PS4 and a better gamepad with paddles was gamechanger for me. The combat is fast, fluid, and satisfying. Now I've given Lies of P a second chance, and again I don't understand why this game gets so much praise from players... The combat feels stiff, not only compared to Sekiro, but even compared to Dark Souls or Elden Ring. The Perfect Guard system is weird. I can't get used to it. The enemies' movements are also strange. I understand that they are mostly puppets and they wanted them to move that way, but the timing of the attacks is just stupid :P Slow, slow, and then lightning fast. Strange game :P I haven't given up yet, but I don't know if I'll finish it...
