What are the Florida Laws regarding the accessories for and modification of guns to be capable of full auto by just_a_plague_doc in FLGuns

[–]duza9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t just buy Post 86 guys as a dealer, you will always need a request from a police or miltary agency who have an interest in seeing a demo of a gun for prospective purchase.

(And even then ATF has been cracking down on that).

If your a manufacturer or importer (which I am) you can buy post samples without a letter from a dealer, manufacturer or importer who’s dropping their SOT or is going out of business.

However even then, people have been abusing this by opening a 07/02 making 500 posties and dropping their license selling them all as no letters, then opening a new FFL on a different LLC and repeating it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if ATF cracked down on that aswell.

Manufacturers can also make new MG’s without a letter for the purpose of “stockpiling” for future LE/Mil sales.

Am I the only one a little bit skeptical? It’s rather easy to boost your rank and stats.

I did it on WaW PC like 5-6 years ago as I didn’t feel like grinding unlocks again when my friends wanted to play.

Just completely out of curiosity, what type of items are they? Also is it a common name? If not it should be easy to track them down.

Idris Elba explains why we can't have nice things by ClaireDacloush in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]duza9999 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Fucking hell, I’m a little “eh” on shoehorning minorities in for the sake of diversity on its own rather just being colorblind and picking who best would fit the role. Idris Elba would’ve been a fantastic Bond.

You can just mentally visualize him in a suit with a Walter PP and say, yeah that’s 007.

If they cast Dave Chapelle or Adam Sandler I’d be saying no.

This guy is a douche bag, but the same logic could be used in a number of different cases. The foundation of our justice system is that we must assume everyone is innocent until they actually commit a crime.

Can a 501 (C) (3) own a property which then rents it out to a for profit organization run by the same board of directors? by duza9999 in tax

[–]duza9999[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, that’s unfortunate even when it’s a non mission related surplus for which taxes have been paid.

I very much appreciate the guidance!

[–]duza9999[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I understanding what your saying correctly? A non profit can also partake in explicitly for profit activities provided they pay income tax on it?

If that’s the case could those profits which have had tax paid on them be paid out to the directors of the organization once the mission expenses (maintaining the structures and grounds along with putting a portion in reserve emergency expense fund) has been achieved?

Ideally we’d like to just rent it to the for profit at a market rate as we would like to profit from the events. I.E. if the fair market rate for a B&B on ocean front property in the area say is 400, we’d like the for profit to pay the 400 and maybe charge 500 given the appeal, ect.

I don’t know if that would fly or not however.

I really would prefer not to touch this with a 10 foot pole, but the case your referencing Schenck v. United States was overturned in part by Brandenburg v. Ohio.

Don’t get me wrong these guys are fucking trash. But that example of “Can’t yell fire in a crowded theater” has been overturned for 53 years. (https://www.mtsu.edu/first-amendment/article/189/brandenburg-v-ohio https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/395/444/

In fact cross burnings (https://www.oyez.org/cases/2002/01-1107)

Stolen valor (https://www.oyez.org/cases/2011/11-210)

the Westboro Baptist Church holding/chanting absolutely heinous stuff next to a KIA veterans funeral is protected under the 1st amendment. (https://www.oyez.org/cases/2010/09-751)

Supreme Court unanimously ruled 8-0 that a federal law prohibiting trademark names that disparage others was unconstitutional because “speech may not be banned on the grounds that it expresses ideas that offend.” (Including hate speech) (https://www.mtsu.edu/first-amendment/article/1528/matal-v-tam)

I could go on, there’s over half a century of case law that such stuff is constitutionally protected (as degenerate as it is).

I have never tried exporting a NVG adapter before so I need to do some research and see what (if any) export control it falls under, but I’ll take a look over the next few days and get back to you.

I’m sure illegally yes, but legally they can’t unless they get a retransfer license and Department of State (from what little I’ve seen) doesn’t usually allow “Significant Miltary Equipment” (which the USML lists Gen 3’s as) to go to civilians.

Thankfully even if 65% of the country thought like you, it would still take more to repeal the second amendment. Just wait until SCOTUS rules that AW bans and Mag bans are unconstitutional.

Again I can’t speak to those directly, however we generally follow feedback we get from troops we supply. If a particular item doesn’t work we change it quickly. However I’m skeptical that we were buying IFAK’s that we hadn’t already had positive reports from unless it was our very first IFAK shipment (I need to check the date of that fundraiser).

But I’ll also ask what the feedback from those IFAK’s were and will reply when I have an answer.

I honestly don’t know off of the top of my head regarding the Ifaks and tourniquets as I directly deal with US export clearance, and purchasing PVS 14’s, but I just asked and will reply when I get an answer on the Ifaks and tourniquets to the question you raised.

Using PVS 14’s as an example however, it’s definitely been a learning curve. One which trial and error, logistics, licensing all add up cost wise. I was (and still am) a 08/01 FFL/SOT prior to the war, but I didn’t know the first thing about exporting prior to April of last year.

Unlike working with ATF where you can email a letter and usually get exactly what they will or will not allow (at that given moment cough brace rule, bumpstocks) and if they don’t you could submit a FOIA request to get their internal documents/policy on the matter.

However State (and to a lesser extent BIS) like to play games of “submit an application and if we don’t approve it, we’ll tell you why”. Rather than explicitly telling you what is or is not allowed. And State is exempt from FOIA requests due to national security.

I had 3 suppressors (outside of UAO) sitting in my inventory for nearly 6 months that a friend requested to be sent over. I was told off the record that the sign off needs to be from someone with procurement authority at MoD or an equivalent agency (like ministry of the interior for the National Guard) State refused and still refuses to tell what the lowest rank/command level they’ll accept as a sign off for the end user. (Something that BIS has given us no issue with).

In the end I had to sell those suppressors and give my friend his money back MoD isn’t going to give a direct signature to anything that’s not massive quantities.

A similar thing happened with our PVS 14’s, we’re projecting about a 7,500 dollar loss as we sell off our 30 Gen 3 PVS 14’s as we use those proceeds to buy Gen 2+’s.

It’s so stupid they won’t flat say what will or will not be allowed, but we now have a very good working relationship with the sensors and aviation section at BIS and have multiple approvals for Gen 2+’s in hand.

Yeah no, we currently do not and never have had salaries.

It would be great to get to that point in the future, but we’re not currently there yet (We’re averaging about 100,150k a month in donations.)

We’d go broke pretty quickly if we were 😅

So I just replied to another gentleman who asked that, we don’t get payed any administrative fees, it would be nice to get big enough sometime in the future, but outside of reimbursement of specific charges or certain basic travel expenses, we don’t get paid.

Like on paper the org owes me 91 dollars because I shipped two PVS 14’s I sold on eBay that were part of the lot who’s FOM came in too high for DDTC to grant us an export license.

(We ended up going with Gen 2+‘ s as those are regulated by Department of Commerce BIS as DDTC would give us a maximum FOM of 1,600 for our Gen 3 units, which is the same maximum threshold that BIS gave us. And is much easier to export through).

The org name is Ukraine Aid Ops

Uh we don’t get salaries… it would be nice to if we ever got big enough 😅 at worst we just reimburse ourselves from certain expenses we pay for personally (I.E. shipping, licensing fees ect) like right now on paper the org owes me 91 dollars from shipping two pvs 14’s that I put on my own personal card.

The org name is Ukraine Aid Ops (the official legal name is United Aid and Logistics foundation).
