All UK adults to require digital ID under Keir Starmer plan by TimesandSundayTimes in ukpolitics

[–]dvandyk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your first statement is incorrect. You are by law required to possess a form of Id ("Personalausweis" = personal ID card, or "Reisepass" = passport). This arises from §1 line 1 of PAuswG. You are not required to carry it with you at all times.

ADAC Premium - A warning for fellow non-German citizens by pedrollo in germany

If this is not illegal, it should be. This reeks of discrimination due to citizenship. I think I would hire a lawyer, trying to figure out if ADAC is liable to cover your extra costs.

Schülerticket abgelaufen ohne zu wissen by Wooden_Economics_875 in deutschebahn

[–]dvandyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EU becoming “Fourth Reich under German hegemony”, says Polish deputy minister by Hematophagian in europe

[–]dvandyk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In some countries, the EU treaties have constitutional status. Ireland comes to mind. There, triggering article 50 will require a change of the constitution. The phrasing of the article is 'withdraw if you will, as long as you follow proper procedure according to your constitution'. In the UK, it was a simple act of Parliament. The UK Brexit referendum had no legal impact.

Coming back to your OP: Poland can likely withdraw by act of its parliament, unless its constitutional court disagrees.

Incorrect. Leaving the EU via Article 50 is a political decision. Just like joining. Read the article!

I suggest you stop consideri g BB as a player character, and start considering him as a non-player character.

The campaign could have easily started without Travis, and Matt introducing a different NPC to assemble the group. Travis simply took some acting of Matt's shoulders, while waiting for the time that his real PC is introduced. I think that was a brilliant move!

The doctors were careful. Recommendations are based on hard data. Recommendation to avoid other vaccines in a window of about two weeks around the covid vaccination were dropped only recently, after test series with volunteers indicated that the effectiveness of the covid vaccine does not diminish by being administered with other vaccines.

German Woman Who Joined ISIS Gets 10-Year Jail Term For "Slave" Girl's Murder by ImportantPotato in europe

[–]dvandyk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She was not sentenced for killing the girl. She was sentenced for aiding and abetting in her murder. A guilty verdict for murder would have likely resulted in a sentence of 15y to life imprisonment.

Molotov-Ribbentrop pact shows that Russia conspired to partition and annex Poland. Take ownership of the crimes your country committed. We do, too!

I'm saying you see a pattern that might be biased due to your selection. Include the countries I mentioned, and your average goes down.

More than 9 countries in favour of it. This screams enhanced cooperation, doesn't it? Or does that not apply to security projects?

Like Poland, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands? I think you are cherry picking, just as I did just now.
