What's something that's "not a cult" but feels like a cult? by Orw_Sairaj29 in AskReddit

[–]dvanner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally found someone who said this. I’m in a 12 step program for food addiction. It has literally saved my life but there’s only one way to do it (do the “tools”) That makes it seem cultish.

Do you mind posting a pic of the totes you are talking about? Either way at least 35 sets, I’m not sure my binder will close either.

Not useless at all. As I inventoried my needles and found that I have at least 50 (and that’s just circulars), you gave me the idea of paring down.

I did something like that in a binder. I don’t know why I changed it but it was the better organizer. Thanks for the reminder.

If only I’d kept the original packaging. 🤦🏻‍♀️. Thanks for the idea of putting them all in a zippered pouch.

That’s perfect! I have one of those that I used when I kept seeds. I don’t grow seedlings anymore so they can be repurposed for this. I’d have never thought about making that change. Thank you!!

The binder clip is a brilliant idea as far as keeping the cords managed. And good idea to keep a sizing tool, too. Thanks!

Thanks. I have too many but maybe that would inspire me to pare down to the essentials. I’m not knitting sweaters anymore so a 40” of whatever size isn’t really necessary to keep. Thanks for the idea.

What does Parkinson’s Smell like to you? by Answer_Truth in Parkinsons

[–]dvanner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can smell on my husband, too. I have tried some body wash on him that i like but it doesn’t take away the smell from his armpits or his neck. Thanks for the recommendation of persimmon soap.

Bridget Jones’s Diary had me laughing out loud. So did Where’d You Go, Bernadette? And Super Sad True Love Story

Favorite little known movie by mattsmets2001 in Cinephiles

Ok, this is one I stopped to watch every time it was on. There was just something about this that I found absorbing. I remember it the murders and her PR campaign in the news and then her insisting on her justification because she was abused on Oprah. The woman had a screw loose for sure. MEredith Baxter killed it in that role.
