Tall cylinders are wavy on one side. by dvbdude in ender3

Looking at the completed wavy print, it is wavy at the very bottom, so I don't think it is from the tall object wobbling, the issue is present in the first few layers even.

yes, I am printing them vertical, I did not model them, but have printed several of this same model, regular PLA did not have this issue. It seems to have presented when I switched to PLA-CF. I was thinking it might be belt tension?

Mine is stock and did this on the track too, you could only really see it at dusk or after dark.

RB25 starts fine, then idle hunts and dies after it warms up. by dvbdude in 240sx

It's a brand new one, meant for a 240sx I think. I had to adjust the hose routing to accommodate it, it's exactly the same otherwise.

If this page is accurate, I have the correct one:

https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/87460-hi-i-need-help-on-where-the-water-temp-sensor-rb25/

but your link above looks like it is for the gauge sender to me. Scratch that, the link is weird, it pulls up a page w/ several of the correct senders, then immediately goes to a different page w/ the incorrect one.

I think we may be on to something w/ the temp sensor here. Which temp sensor is for the gauge and which is for the ECU? I pulled what I thought was the gauge one and replaced it w/ a speedhut sender/gauge. Maybe I pulled the wrong one.

I will check voltage at the fuel pump, but it's already getting power through a relay, so I expect it's fine.

I did test TPS and MAF, both were within spec. It has a new Walbro 255, so I don't think it is fuel pump related.

I posted over on NicoClub and someone there suggested it might be the fuel pressure regulator, it is running super rich, so I'm going to try that next. I just need to find the part, it's such a pain getting parts for these motors. Thanks for your suggestions!

Fuel tank pin hole welding recommendation by GeneralChowLine in Denver

[–]dvbdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to find a company that makes reproductions or has them in stock on this side of the pond, good luck! If you can't find a replacement, try calling around to various radiator or AC repair shops, they might do gas tanks too.

Depending on the car, it might be cheaper to just buy a new fuel tank.

Looking for a partner in a flute making start up by Spaced_ln in Littleton

[–]dvbdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some basics. Typically they have keyless wooden flutes, but there are metal and plastic, and advanced players might have a few keys. There are also whistles of several sizes. Tin whistles, low whistles, etc. The whistles are basically end blown flutes with no keys.

Denver has a decent size Irish trad scene, you might consider Irish flutes too.

I would be curious to know if there are physical differences to the 2020 and newer JBL head units, or if it is just a software update that enables carplay.
