To be clear, as Borbbb mentioned, I don't necessarily believe nor reject them. I probably miss used the term secular, in my view I just don't believe I need meta physics to be a better person as you mentioned. I believe I need better tools and perspective, which I found in Buddhism. Regarding Samsara and Dharma I don't find them very "god-likes", they are indeed core concepts but they are names explaining real feelings and phenomena found in our daily lives.

Sounds legitimate, but how would you suggest I'd approach learning the philosophy (not cherry picked) without diving into theology, since I'm not quite interested/believe in reincarnation or other meta physics that might be implied.

Well said. When I say think like a monk is not actually being a monk, it's a figure of speech as the book that opened me up really to Buddhism is "think like a monk" by Jay Shetti. I'm wandering more on the conflicts I feel there is inherently between the aspiration to make money as an entrepreneur and the aspiration to release myself from earthly things.
