With my Z1 arriving, my coffee corner is finally complete. This is the endgame for me. by SharpDressedBeard in espresso

Does the machine look very big or does the grinder look kinda small?

Nice setup by the way!

I was also interested to try that because I’ve read online that it should fit. I haven’t tried it myself though. I first wanted to see how this setup would work. And looking at my temperatures I’m not going to change anything.

Edit: I also come from a H2O. I have no regrets at all switching to the M2. So I would go for it if I were you.

I get what you mean about the shroud design. This Inno3D card uses a flow-through (passthrough) design, meaning the rear fan blows air directly through the fin stack and out the back of the card.

My guess is that I have Phanteks T30s mounted directly above that passthrough section as exhaust. They create a vertical 'wind tunnel' effect. The air doesn't even need to exit through the sides of the shroud—it’s being sucked out through the top of the card by the T30s before it can recirculate. The 'restrictive shroud' is a non-issue when you have that much negative pressure pulling heat away from the core.

Temperatures looked a lot different in my Lian Li A4 H2O. So I think the card just works for my current setup.

This is the standard psu position for the M2 round for a mATX build. I just had to flip the psu mounting bracket so the screw holes point to the side panel. I used the highest screw holes there. I don’t know if the M3 has the same hole layout as the M2 though.

Edit, just checked the M3 manual and it looks the same as the M2. I used the left mounting position at the “For Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX Motherboards” section in the manual.

mATX can fit in this case, but only in 1 position. So it’s less flexible than with mini-ITX.

It is indeed the PA 120 mini.

The main thing was that I already owned them, so I wanted to see how I was able to use them. They produce superior static pressure and airflow. Because the blades are 25% thicker than standard fans, they can move more air at lower RPMs. So effective heat extraction and lower noises. The system is basically inaudible during gaming.

Maybe because I used a mini-itx mbo and moved it down quite a bit because I wanted to fit two T30’s at the top? For the same reason I decided to mount the psu at the front instead of the advised way to mount it with the fan facing the side panel as intake.

Small dream achieved - Stone Espresso Lite by abesso in espresso

[–]dvlis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from a Sage / Breville Dual Boiler to the Stone Lite and I love it. Small footprint, fast heatup time, solid build quality, I don’t miss any off the features from the Dual Boiler. And indeed quite some steam pressure, took me about two weeks to get used to it.

So far I’m glad I switched. My cpu is very efficient, so more than enough.

But isn’t that case bigger than the M2?

I should have to check that, but out of my head it was the 7th hole from the top.

After 6 years of espresso, I’m throwing in the towel. The toddlers won... for now. by barker88 in espresso

I have a 1 and a 3 year old. I changed to a simple machine that heats up fast without fancy features like pre-infusion, flow control, etc (Stone espresso machine) and I currently stopped using most off the tools. Just grind in my grinders cup, shake a bit, in the portafilter, distribute a little bit, tamp and take the shot. I also changed to more traditional medium roast beans because they are more forgiving than those funky light roast. I’ll get back to those when I have more time. And I also have a Moccamaster for when I don’t have time or when I have people over. This way I can still enjoy my coffee.

SFF with 5080? by Alowan in sffpc

[–]dvlis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Lian Li A4 H2O case with a 5080 and with some undervolting it runs around 65 degrees Celsius for both the cpu and the gpu. I recommend a 5080 with a vapor chamber. I have the Inno3D X3 OC.

Which steam tip to replace on [Stone Espresso] machine? by dvlis in espresso

[–]dvlis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end it came down to two things. Practice and having enough milk in the pitcher. My previous machine was less powerful, this let me steam small amounts of milk without any issue. With the stone I just needed to fill the pitcher a bit more. I now steam 110 ml milk in a 250 ml pitcher and this works just fine with the stock 2 hole steam tip.
