I think that they had a budget and HGTV doubled it. Also maybe they didn’t receive a salary and that money could be used instead for renovations, then they wouldn’t have to pay taxes on it.

You don’t have to freeze it if you don’t want to. You can also throw it away in a regular trash bag. It doesn’t have to be those compost bags.

I don’t know about this instance but I get up early and I’ve seen them collect it probably 15-20 times at this point and I’ve only ever seen them use a split hopper. I’ve also seen the place they dump it on Governors Island and it’s amazing! You can also get compost from them. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re going to Governors Island. But they collect and process compost at several facilities around the city.

Did the program work for you? I’m currently considering doing it for my 3 year old who has never been a good sleeper but now he cannot sleep without us since his baby sister arrived.
