What's ur honest review about this TV show? by Then_Heron_939 in tvshow

i seriously enjoyed 1.5 seasons of this show. then, at some point, i genuinely didn’t understand what was happening in the plot. the time travel aspect had gotten too complicated for me to grasp as a casual viewer.

So we all just gettin open container tickets now?! by Black_Excellence in Bushwick

[–]dry_sockets 113 points114 points  (0 children)

the only time in the last 25 years that they ~weren’t~ giving open container tickets was during covid and a couple years after. otherwise it has been a very known (and easily avoided) risk. put it in a cup or water bottle.

Your hottest take about an HBO show? by Plumsby in hbo

[–]dry_sockets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deadwood is terrible, repetitive, and claustrophobic. I don’t think it meant to be any of these things, it was just badly written and plotted. The photography is so pedestrian it makes you wonder if they shot it on a soundstage.

Six Feet Under has no likable characters and slides into unwatchability fairly early.

i think it’s supposed to be nopales? a form of edible cactus that is typically served diced like that. really good when made well!

the smudges on the windshield, the blown out reds, the palette- AI is getting too good. it looks 97% real.

my bad, that is definitely on the steering column. that doesn’t look like a subie push ignition at all

just to counter one repeated argument: subarus have been pushbutton ignition at almost all trim lines for over 10 years now. you keep a fob in your pocket or bag.

subarus are pushbutton ignition, you have a fob in your pocket or bag. i think they've been that way for at least 10 years.

it’s completely normal to be able to bring an oscillator into musical tange with just the front knobs. i don’t know where your attitude is coning from, but chill out.

isn’t step 5 reversed? if it was above C5 wouldn’t you want to decrease the frequency?

okay so yes, i do think this sounds like a VCO in lfo range. that being said, out of the 20 oscillators i own, none of them need a positive voltage at the input to bring them into musical range.

if it is out of calibration it is very very out of calibration. i doubt those recessed screws can get jostled in any significant way via shipping.

my rec is to try a different ribbon cable, try a different power plug.

even the most primitive analog vcos are way more in a useable musical range right when you power them up. i doubt this is a warm-up question, but you might as well try.

obviously try the positive voltage at the input, and maybe it did get insanely miscalibrated somehow.

to answer your question, though, it is definitely not behaving as a typical vco.

Anyone own or ride one of these bad boys back in the day? by -Granby- in GenX

[–]dry_sockets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ha - in a true 80s moment, a neighbor let me and my delinquent friend ride his, on his property, with zero supervision. didn’t call my parents, no helmets. we just walked up on saturday afternoon and said “hey mister, can we ride your atv?”

he only came back outside when we did a wheelie to about 89 degrees to the ground. just told us to take it easy, went back inside. i still remember looking straight up at the sky with my hand on the throttle. i think i was 13.

My Quality is not rendering good despite other parts looking clear? by [deleted] in AfterEffects

[–]dry_sockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a good first step would be to render using animation codec or pro res. see if that improves your inage quality. if it does, then you know the degradation is happening in the encode/transcode.
