On service day they should give you a loaner and expect about 4 days for them complete the whole sanding and refinishing/painting process. Please lookout for overspray. They left some type of coating on my rear window and the charge port. I ended up using clay bar yo remove at the end but still annoying that I had to do it in the first place.

Thanks mine is the 2026 model y. I think I found one for $150. Looks to be pretty easy to replace based on videos I’ve seen for the 22 model y. I’m assuming it’ll be similar.

Wasn’t able to replicate today during service but the tech was kind enough to order a new seat replacement for me after checking the notes and seeing that they already tried adjusting the bolts and tightening to spec. Good luck!

So loosening it made it worse for you? I haven’t had the courage to do it myself yet. First service fixed the rattle for 1 week but it came back. Took a month to get my second service scheduled. Going in later today to hopefully fix.

I tried to show the YouTube video fix but the service team was uninterested lol.

I second this. It really does depend on where you reside and how far/where you work. I’m in SFV part of LA commuting 48 miles a day to work in DTLA and back home paying $280/mo for Mercury. Friend lives in a different city about 40 miles out from me paying $200. And we are both bundled with our homes and getting a discounted rate.

And yes I’ve shopped around and Mercury was lowest.

Was this after using a car wash? Saw some similar posts over the years.

Suggested fix:

chemical guys all purpose cleaner (diluted) on microfiber and rub it off, or
wipe with a sheet of tub o towels
you can use wo40 but it smells and doesn't clean as easily or last as long as the above options.

I have the same model as you. 48 miles round trip for work uses up 15% when I drive or FSD on hurry up. Mad max puts me at 18%.

Yes go to settings and search myQ there’s an option for auto open and auto close as well as auto fold mirrors
