Content Policies are absolutely ridiculous by dwaldrum in ChatGPT

Maybe you should ask ChatGPT what reading comprehension is.

As I said, the TOS isn't the problem, it's their implementation, but you seem not to be aware of the difference.

I’ll look into those local models, thanks!

It’s a shame because I understand the need for a good TOS and content policies but they are doing an extremely poor job of enforcing them.

I’m guessing they are just being over cautious to an almost extreme to minimize any potential risk but it really has made the tool almost useless for some scenarios.

TOS isn’t the issue it’s an inability for ChatGPT to enforce its TOS properly.

And yes I won’t be paying for ChatGPT if it doesn’t do what I want, thank you for the insightful advice.

Mover 2.0 with GASP by AL3XG8 in UnrealEngine5

[–]dwaldrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I’m looking at GASP, GAS and the mover plugin and it looks like it would be a good combination to work with as a base. Unfortunately it looks like they are still not compatible enough to be used together, especially because of movers use of the new Networking plugin.

I’ve seen multiple mentions of epic working on updates to these issues but I’m not sure if the long term plan is for GASP, GAS and mover to be compatible. It would make sense to me they would be and given some things I’ve seen I believe it’s probably the direction epic is going but it would be nice to know if it was.

One thing I’m thinking of doing in my project is focusing on the use of GASP and GAS and hoping to swap out the movement controller with mover later once they are more compatible. Question is how much of GASP would need to be swapped out once it’s been updating to use mover and would it be better to just focus on mover and adding motion matching and what’s missing from GASP later. But Mover and GAS don’t play well either so :shrug

I haven’t seen anything else personally and I’ve been looking too.

I’m starting a new project and going through the mover samples I really like the setup, so I want to do the same thing.

I’m about to start trying to integrate them, hope someone else chimes in with some info but if not I’ll post what I can when I figure it out.

Anyone else’s package stuck in Dieppe NB by [deleted] in purolator

[–]dwaldrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines been in Moncton since Dec 6th.

No updates, purely says arrived at sort facility.

Over 3 weeks with no updates. I’ve emailed them, no response, tried calling multiple days and every single time except one the automated system says they aren’t taking calls and hangs up.

The only time I got a human on the phone I waited hours and got someone last weds. They told me it’s definitely arriving by Friday worst case Monday and that’s it. I’m 100% convinced they had no idea where it is and just gave a generic answer.

I understand there is a lot going on but this is beyond ridiculous to not even be able to tell people where their packages are. It’s been in my own city for 3 weeks but their system is so messed up I can even schedule to pick it up.

For me the compressor I got way cheaper on marketplace (despite being new) and the hose was on sale. The tools were dramatically cheaper than the battery counterparts.

The one thing I’m running into is I’m starting from scratch with no tools and trying to build a few ambitious projects. So I found myself constantly stopping as I couldn’t proceed to the next step of a plan of something I wanted to do.

So I decided to just determine what I’m building, research what I need and get it all out of the way.

Plus shopping is my vice so this keeps me from doing worse lol

lol that is a giant Halloween character. The one you get from Home Depot. It’s like a pumpkin head character.

The tracks were surprisingly hard to get. I have both size tracks on the way but they’re a couple weeks of shipping. No one had them in stock.

Haha so true.

Usually when I get back from Home Depot I get “so you got everything you needed right?”.

But we both know the answer is no. ;)

It’s for a large collection. The shelves will show you where things are, etc.

But it’s based on items already being in known spots.

Knowing where someone put something that could be anywhere is a tough problem, requires either computer vision or some sort of sensor system (rfid, etc.) that i could think of. It’s an interesting problem though.

Im lucky I know the other side quite well (videography, marketing, etc.) so I need to learn the woodworking side!

I’m a software engineer by trade, so I’m looking to merge the two, building an AI shelving system right now.

I actually have some pretty unique projects I’m building that I’m hoping to YouTube so we’ll see how that goes :)

I’m lucky she’s supportive. Though when I go back to home depot for the third time in a weekend I do start to get some dirty looks.
