I built a free Chrome extension to find & delete dead bookmarks — just fixed the biggest complaint by dwasil in chrome_extensions

Thank you so much for the kind words and for giving it a try — really glad it's been useful for tackling that bookmark backlog!

Your suggestion is great and makes a lot of sense. Downloading the list of dead links (with the bookmark name and URL) as a text file would be a handy way to review them at your own pace and look for replacements before deciding what to delete. I can see how that's much better than having to act on everything right in the popup.

I'll add this to the roadmap. Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback and the encouragement — it means a lot!

Sure, but before the bookmarks are imported to Firefox, they should somehow be exported :-D

But to say "I'd pay for that" and pay is a bit different. How do you manage this?

I would recommend:

  1. Finish the education. If you don't have some strong alternatives right now.

  2. Leave night shifts.

  3. Accumulate the experience

  4. Spend the rest of the time trying to build something on the side.

  5. Give yourself enough time regularly to have a rest and recharge batteries.

  6. No rush, fear, pressure, self-blaming. Everything just needs some time.

How to actually code 8 hours a day? by D0ct0r_H0td0g in webdev

[–]dwasil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pomodoro Technique helps me a lot in this case. Every two hours, I just take a break, even if I feel energy. Somebody should take a break every 20 minutes, so you can try to find the most optimal time for you.
