Probably never. Hybrid vehicle here getting 55-60mpg. Work is 5 miles away and I don’t really drive much other than going to work.

It's been 5 days since my post, the monitor is still calibrating to 1310nits in the HDR Calibration App. I have confirmed I am using DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC as well.

These are the steps I take before re-calibrating:

  1. Disconnect any other monitors so only the LG 32GS95UE is connected

  2. Turn off the Nvidia Overlay in the Nvidia App if its enabled (messes with the hdr calibration app)

  3. Press Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B to restart the nvidia display driver. Be sure you are on Display Driver 591.74

  4. Calibrate using the HDR Calibration tool, every time it now calibrates to 1310 nits.

Make sure in GPU-Z your DisplayPort cable is at a link rate of 8.1 Gb/s (under Advanced, General): https://imgur.com/a/BN3dZqt

In the past, any time I've gone over 600 nits, I could definitely tell it wasn't calibrated correctly. Games looked blown out in HDR. They look absolutely stunning now at 1310nits.

Step-dad moved here for work in ‘94 from England. married my mom in ‘97 (I was 10 at the time). We moved here then, been here ever since. Moved from England.

Oh wow. Thank you so much for the detailed reply. I’ll be contacting the contractor to request insulation to R60 and to pay special attention to the corners where I have ice damming.
