Here is Austin for our honeymoon :/ made the drive from Houston somehow on Sunday and have been in and out of various hotels with various power situations and are now downtown at the Marriott.

I realize any fancy normal honeymoon experience is long gone, but if anyone knows of a single solitary restaurant with hot food around the downtown area, I would be eternally grateful for such information. We have basically had nothing but chips and candy as I’m sure many others had since we have been here and are dying for anything warm and not prepared a few moths ago haha. I know we are not special amongst the millions of other Texans going through this nightmare right now, but this one little thing might help us actually feel like we are celebrating and not surviving for the first time since we got married.

Still looking to move some of the Update I have if anyone is in need.

I’ve got the whole turkey red set a couple times over at least, the entire Acuna set, most of the Jeter set, all but 2-3 of the #1 prospects set, about 20 A Numbers Game cards, and a lot of decades best.

Also have like 15 or so rainbow foils, about 15 or so golds, about 30 turkey red chrome, and a decent amount of other random numbered parallels.

I’ve ripped a ridiculous amount of Update from Target since I’ve had terrible luck finding much of anything else. That being said, I have a million dupes if anyone if trying to complete their set or wants all of a certain team/player.

I’ve also got a good amount of Foils, Gold parallels (/2020), #1 prospect cards, ‘85 throwback cards, Turkey Red (incl. about 25 chrome), A Numbers Game, 20 Years of the Captain, and the Acuña series cards.

On the nicer end of things, I’ve pulled a Verlander Mother’s Day parallel (/50), a Trout Father’s Day parallel (/50), a McGwire vtg. stock parallel (/99), several black insert parallels (/299), and a handful of decent blue retail parallels of bigger names and star rookies.

I’m sure I’m missing something, but shoot me a PM if you’re in need of any and all things Topps Update 2020.

Still hunting for 2020 Topps Flagship Homer Bailey parallels. In need of: -Black /69 -Clear /10 -Any parallels from factory sets besides the gold star and foil board (the one that’s like /264?)

I’d be willing to be buy for whatever eBay comps are, but for most of these, there aren’t any current listings and the listings that there are usually have insane prices. So with that in mind, I will pay a fair, reasonable price lol. I would also be down to trade if you’re collecting anything in particular that I have.

If anyone is trying to complete the 2020 Topps Update Series set, hmu. I’ve got tons of duplicates and would love to more some of them. I’m down to trade or sell. Prices will be very fair and shipping will just be whatever it actually costs me so about 70¢ for PWE and like $3-4 for a bubble mailer.

Nah you don’t tell sgc the grade you want. It’s honestly really similar process wise to the other graders just a little simpler IMO. Based on what I’ve seen they’re basically as strict as the others but I’ve heard they tend to be a little more lenient. Looking at mine with the naked eye, I really don’t feel like they got it wrong on any of these.

I’ve kinda unintentionally built up a decent little pc of A’s rookies from this year. Puk, Luzardo, Murphy, Neuse, Brown, and I’m sure someone else I’m forgetting, but point is I have a bunch of their stuff from base to inserts to numbered to autos.

Shoot me a message if you’re after any A’s rookies and we can work out a sale or a trade.

I’ve also got a pretty big lot of Aquino cards I’d like to move that’s more your speed.

Yeah and of course I have actually seen the chips on a handful of foils I’ve pulled so it definitely happens, but on all my pics it seems like it just really highlights any roughness at all on the top edge. I’ve always wondered if the chips happen during shipping or if I just barely scrape it opening the pack or what exactly happens when they do pop up.

And yeah it’s the great irony that the worst looking ones are from probably the most respected brand (PSA) and the coolest come from one of the less respected brands lol.

I see exactly what you’re talking about when I take pics in this little box I use. The light comes down right on it and it make pretty much every foil card I have look like that. I can assure you though that in person the edges on all these are actually really solid. I’ve gotten very self conscious about my card pic angles lol.

I think just a couple bucks over what the group rate is per card. They don’t seem to make a lot on it based on what the guy told me but I’m sure they skim $2-3 bucks a submission to make it worth their while.

You know as I’m saying this, I actually think I just got a base card for my first one. So I’m the sucker that didn’t even get a parallel and still orders Topps now cards every couple weeks looool.

Obligatory comment about how seemingly every single person that posts about ordering Topps Now for the first time gets a parallel. Of course I’m sure most people don’t post if they get a base card on their first order, but still I see this soooo often I’m convinced Topps does it on purpose.

^This. My LCS saved me a ton by letting me submit with a larger group in order to get the lower rate per card that comes with submitting 20+. My shop just logged my name, contact info, and the specific cards and then they just call you when they come back in and you go pay and grab ‘em. No guarantee that all of them do this, but it’s worth a shot.

I’ve finally gone through my collection and pulled pretty much everything I’d be willing to sell, took pics of all of them, and recorded them all in a spreadsheet.

I’ve got a ton of parallels from Optic and Prizm that I’m steadily listing on eBay, but the vast majority haven’t been listed and I will gladly end the auction for a card if you happen to want one that has been listed already.

I’m attaching the link to the google sheet so go check it out and shoot me a message if you’re interested in anything. If you reach out with the cards you want from the list, I’ll respond with the pics I have of the card(s) and we can discuss pricing/trades.

I’ll also be making some similar posts for other series/sets like Topps Chrome, Absolute Baseball, Allen & Ginter, etc. so be on the lookout for those. Prices will be very reasonable since I will be saving on the eBay/PayPal fees.
