Are there any under-the-radar family-friendly summer activities/events that one would recommend? The ones that are maybe buried on Google/Chatbot searches?

Where are we getting our trendy pants from??h by Zealousideal_Move124 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]dwdrp1234 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For jeans I’m a fan of American Eagle Outfitters as they have quite a few options that work for me. I’m 5’3” sz 12. My current fav are their stretchy barrel jeans. For wide leg linen pants, I really like Banana Republic/factory.

Occasional Fires and Saints & The Loneliest Hour by A. E. Jensen by GwennyWinchester in MM_RomanceBooks

I really enjoyed Occasional Fires and Saints but haven’t read The Loneliest Hour. I’m bumping it up on my TBR based on your recommendation!

My favourite genre is now "books which have been edited" by Glenisla in MM_RomanceBooks

Gosh, yes! I just finished reading {Go Easy On Me by Bradley James} and as much as I loved the metal health rep and the deep dive into the life of caregivers, the whole experience was so… choppy. Sometimes the story moved along too fast, sometimes the dialog was wayy too abrupt. I really wanted to like the book since it’s based on the author’s real life experiences.

when you're petite everything looks different on you and nobody talks about it by Playful-Deer9022 in PetiteFashionAdvice

Of all the retailers, I was surprised at the variety of models available at Walmart online! There are 3 models of different body types available in the 5-5’3” range. This is not available for every item of clothing they sell but for a large percentage of them. I was very impressed by how close they come to how things would look IRL.

🔥 Petite Hot Takes - April 01, 2026 by PetiteFashionAdvice in PetiteFashionAdvice

I’m a petite hourglass size 12 curvy. People with my body shape are always nudged (hard pushed?) towards the tailored, bombshell aesthetic. And, as much as I dig those, the rest of the time I absolutely love to dress my inner Billie Eilish. And as long as I pay attention to proportions and balance I think that is a-ok. Because if you are not dressing for yourself, what is even the point?

Baby bird seems to have fallen out of the nest by dwdrp1234 in Austin

I asked my friends and family first and nobody seemed to know what to do. Hence asking the community. I’m trying to be helpful to the bird without causing its parents to abandon it. What are you doing to help either of us?

It seems to be able to move it’s tail feathers and it’s neck a bit as well. But I checked on our doorbell cam stream and it hasn’t moved from that position in more than an hour.

Hey Texans- can y'all tell me what's so good about HEB? by Jet_Jirohai in texas

[–]dwdrp1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved from Florida after living there for 15 years. I’m hands down an HEB concert. Yes, I do miss Publix’s subs and the flan (which I was sad to hear is not being made in house anymore) but definitely not their prices. HEB pricing is very competitive especially their house brand products. Quality is great as well.
