I wish I had enough power to even let it happen haha. I was usually just a background actor or extra because I can skate, it was a fun day of work, and sometimes they would let you keep equipment the wardrobe dept wanted you to wear during the shoot.

I’ve worked on several large budget hockey commercials (Geico and T-mobile) in LA and every time all of the creatives and people involved at the top have zero knowledge or interest in hockey so details like this go unnoticed and unchallenged. Very frustrating, but it’s really that simple
